Yep, there was a general consensus that we were severely lacking quality wingers, and probably a creative midfielder. It’s hard to see Almiron, Fraser or Murphy as being PL level. If there is money to spend in Jan, a new winger has to be the focus you’d think.

My only worry - and it is a minor one - is that we don’t know what the owners expectations are, nor how they will react to stretches of disappointing results. And by the owners, I’m referring to PIF. For me, Howe should be given a couple of years to build - we’re so much better than this time last year irrespective of money spent. The bloke is clearly an excellent manager / coach.

We’d have needed to spend another £150m minimum to get the squad sorted. We definitely need more quality, but I’m not sure how much money people think is available. So far, only Wood has been a bad signing.

We’ve not been used to teams playing like this for a couple of decades at SJP. Showing NUFC a lot of respect - problem is we’re a year or two away from being that side. Still think we’ll win this though.
