  1. I reckon we just let Howe get on with doing exactly what he’s been doing with Joelinton. Seems to have worked so far. I’m unconvinced the Twitter expert’s view that this is the ‘only way to get a result’ holds water. I’ll reckon the side and tactics Eddie selects are more liable to get a result.
  2. ‘Take, for example, the popular Sunderland online message board that set up a forum on 24 June titled: NUFC/Sportswashing – Summer 2022. Since its creation, it has been filled with around 10,000 posts – in less than two months. That’s around 156 posts per day.’ Now there’s proper journalism for you - cite the number of comments on RTG … no further comment needed
  3. I wouldn’t mind but prime JJ is still better than any midfielder they’ve ever seen in a R&W shirt - when they have a MF who is a stand-out in a team finishing 3rd in the PL give me a shout
  4. You always know the manager is a good fit whenever you’re in a bar and people ‘shush’ everyone to hear him talk on telly. Howe, just like KK, Rafa and BR, is one of those managers
  5. “Any prospective new owner or investor has to be committed to the culture, ethos and best traditions of the club. They have to be willing to invest to restore United to former glories, and that investment must be real new money spent on the playing side and the stadium.” Every word of that would be my starter for ten. A functioning Man Utd brings in £700m+ per season. They don’t need outside capital.
  6. That statement is horrendously entitled. Surely Man Utd spending its own income on infrastructure and players would do the trick - not financing the leveraged buy-out? ‘New owner should be chucking money at the club’. Bunch of twats. Its sums up perfectly why so many hate them, and why their current mediocrity is mana from heaven

Yeah, agreed. I’m perfectly happy with the job those running the club have done
  8. The whole ‘in peace’ crap shows that RTG think they’re the court of a powerful emperor, emperor Sunderland AFC, and they need flattering whenever an obsequious delegate from a client state shows up. Then they get to smile and clap as the delegate pours olive oil words into their ears about how powerful and glorious they are. The delegate is then deemed worthy of joining them for dinner, as they regale themselves in stories about how wonderful the emperor is. To me it just shows that they’re a bunch of hostile cunts, whose thin skin and paranoia means that grovelling is the only way you might escape without getting a kicking. Which is most probably just like the fucking dives they drown their sorrows in on a weekend - tetchy, bitter, angry yokels looking to chin any poor cunt who they don’t recognise who wanders in accidentally.

No, there is more to it. But we should be comparing ourselves to other clubs at our level - not Ashley’s NUFC, which was a zombie club

Yep, they’re both good appointments, no arguments. Like I say, I’ve no complaints. But it’s what most clubs take for granted.

Yeah, of course. And I think they’ve done ok, no complaints from me. But I think being competent can be overstated thanks to that very low starting point

I’m not sure how difficult most of what has been done is, tbf. Ashley set the bar incredibly low by starving the club of professional staff. Appointing a DoF and a CEO is hardly rocket science. I’m not saying a bad job has been done, but a lot of it is really just doing what 91 other professional clubs manage to do without issue.
  13. Fucking hell, having a go at his agent on Twitter is really first class work like. Some utter twats in our support, irrespective of whether or not the agent confirmed what we want to hear
  14. Doesn’t apply to RM, Barcelona, Chelsea …
  15. That MadridZone Twitter feed is hilarious. I’ve never read it other than during the ESL nonsense - they were PUMPED that they thought it was happening. Still spent weeks denying the evidence in front of their eyes that it was dead. Now, I’m not saying RM are not after Bruno G, or that he won’t leave in this window. But I’d pay no heed to all the RM Twitter nonsense. They’re just sad acts from all over the planet who just copy and paste shite from each other - they know nothing about anything.

‘Dan Ashworth held a gun to his head, and Darren Eales assured him that either his brains -- or his signature -- would be on the contract’
  17. Not sure if he’s had sex, but I bet he’s told the hard lads on the bus he’s fingered a few
  18. Do the eyes represent the people watching the act? Don’t tell me - he was dogging in one of the player’s cars outside the training ground

Or loads of nutters have bet on it and brought the odds in
  20. Of course. That’s all it was ever about. The fact that the board ‘positions’ are actually for a ‘supporters board’ which will meet ‘informally’ with the actual board four times a year won’t matter. The sad cases will actually believe that they have a say, as opposed to this being a PR stunt by the actual owners.
  21. They still think WF is club-funded. They’ve been driven fucking insane; it’s like reading about Q-Anon Trump supporters thinking everything is a conspiracy. Honestly, their mental health would be better served if they just gave up watching football and took up a different hobby; this cannot be good for them.

Agreed. I wasn’t buzzing over the Targett signing in Jan, but the lad has been fucking brilliant since he signed.
