Fuck
-
We’re now playing the side we probably should’ve started with
-
They are unbelievably shite, like. Should be about 4-0 up
-
Ah, 60th min subs. How I missed thee
-
Yes, being obvious favourites for a CL place with 40 mins left is disastrous
-
Must be changing to 4-3-3
-
League position isn’t about the last day, it wouldn’t be by default
-
They don’t look like beating anyone today
-
I don’t know how Man U weren’t winning before the RC
-
Which is fair enough, plenty of time yet. The crowd sounds nervous to me - I don’t think there’s a jumpier crowd in the country for games like this
-
They have - I’ve been watching that on my phone and our game on the screen (I’m confident that Chelsea get something at Forest). Man Utd utterly dominant.
-
Oof - didn’t think there’d be this much panic in here I thought it was an entertaining half - we always struggle vs midtable sides at home, but we look up for it. A formation change is probably needed A point might be enough - in fact, a defeat might be enough - I wouldn’t panic yet
-
Agreed - it’s not THE fixture by a long chalk. If I was asked to list my top 20 NUFC games in my lifetime, I’m not sure if Sunderland would feature in one of the matches on the list
-
Sheff Utd are fucking gash, mind. How many chances do you need? The winner of this finishes 20th next season
-
‘Whys is neva us?’
-
We would, but the cunt can’t shoot i think. I’m lost now
-
If Bruno could shoot he’d be a £120m midfielder
-
It’s the complete opposite IMO - Man Utd are already one of the world’s biggest clubs and can comfortably survive failing to qualify for the CL - they’ll be back. This is much, much bigger for Spurs
-
Never has been. Football fans are as loyal as performances allow - if a player hasn’t performed, no-one ever argues that we should cling on to them
-
It’s a mercenary industry and always was - there is no such thing as loyalty in football and hasn’t been since the dawn of professionalism
-
I just mean that players leave and folks shouldn’t get angry or over concerned when they do - provided it’s done for the right reasons
-
Top no.9 when fit, he’s absolutely in the argument for me when it comes to the third position on the podium for best NUFC centre forward in my lifetime But the injuries and age have taken their toll, and it’s time to wave goodbye. I hope that we are 5-0 up with ten mins to go vs Everton and he gets a send-off. Onwards and upwards, hopefully we get an upgrade in the summer (though not in the looks department - our squad is about 20% less handsome automatically)
-
Likewise. And if our overlords and masters want him for one of their home nation clubs, I suspect we’ll agree to the (overinflated) fee, too Bruno’s fantastic, a top gadgie and happily sits in my favourite NUFC XI. But footballers aren’t something to become too emotionally attached to - they all leave.
-
Yep. Wingers in a 4-4-2 are wide midfielders, and in a 4-3-3 they’re wide forwards. You’d 100% expect a better goal return from a modern winger.
-
Didn’t he give an interview when he basically admitted as much about his form at the start of the season?
