I liked beglin, just relentlessly negative, even on a game. Made you feel bad if you missed a chance
-
His Pes career with big Jim Beglin was enjoyable
-
Salah hanging onto that hair by a thread like.
-
Drury just tries to get clips on TikTok compilations these days. It’s painful.
-
We should never sign portugese players. Can’t stand them.
-
Pickford was really good at Sunderland when they were awful.
-
This Donovan kid looks a player
-
Yeah but also very good players have proven unable to play together plenty. I think they take up too many of the same positions. Our mid is very weird at times, just seemingly hybrid 8s everywhere
-
I’m not sure Tonali was amazing for us tbf. But neither are prone to play defensively and our midfield was wide open with both of them playing.
-
I’d look at Clarke from the Mackems, good player
-
Fair enough, I didn’t watch it just remember the clip
-
The Bruno/Tonali midfield was a problem early in the season iirc. Both occupying each others spaces and the midfield being wide open. We needed a DM then
-
Did they not say the target was CL on the Amazon thing? I only watched a bit of the first episode
-
Fair point tbf, i do think it’s a good incentive for players though, even outside of the CL
-
He would be my pick if they did move on. 100 percent. Not advocating it, just in that instance. Prob get one shot at him when he leaves Leverkusen
-
Harder to sign/keep players if we don’t
-
Or play Bruno in a double pivot, similar to how Brazil play him. I love Miley a lot, but defensively off the ball he is not there.
-
Runs like he has bricks tied to his feet
-
Sadly yeah. Nowhere near 1st team quality.
-
Cooper looks like he’s double dropped all the time. Not a face for the PL I’m afraid

Don’t disagree with you at all, pope set the events in motion, and was poor for the goal. But I don’t think it was lack of effort on his part, he looks shook for whatever reason. But Tonali just didn’t even want to try, even a minimal amount of effort to rush the shot, close the angle, at least make it somewhat more difficult. It looked so bad on the replay. A lot of our success last season was based on work ethic and he shouldn’t be exempt from that. Imo of course.
-
I feel the first clearance was just a mistake, that happens. The lack of effort to even close down that shot was really poor. He didn’t even try. Miggy makes mistakes but he never slacks off.
-
100 percent, I didn’t even think it was a particularly controversial thing to say. I think Tonali deserves it for that, it’s not a mistake that he mis controlled a pass, or a poor giveaway, it was a clear lack of effort, and desire. It will have pissed Eddie off no doubt, and rightly so. That’s just how you keep standards highs. I really like Tonali but today was absolutely horrible in my eyes.

Pretty much yeah, I’m not saying he should be ostracized but sometimes you have to make an example to set standards. I can’t think of a single team sport where that doesn’t happen. Tuchel did it in Bayern training not even long ago. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12307419/amp/Thomas-Tuchel-singles-THREE-Bayern-Munich-stars-criticism-fail-hit-high-standards-pre-season-training.html
