Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability

I could get a 30 day trial and listen. That one is 54 minutes. Eak! -

What specifically is his injury. Achilles tear? And what is Barnes injury. Stubbed Toe?

Financial Fair Play / Profit & Sustainability

To be fair both points are valid. Selling a player that had no cost is 100% profit. Selling a player fully amortised is also (technically) 100% profit. For profit purposes and not tax. -

I was just reading about this. I other clubs owned by the same owners have been allowed to play in Europe. But City’s ownership model is different and would likely be reviewed. Especially with these breaches. Whats more concerning is they have 115 of them. For them to not be guilty on any of them would be almost corruption at the highest level. So why are they not being punished and yet Everton and Forrest are. It all sounds a bit fishy to me. -
I find it fascinating that even though we have a major midfield injury crisis that we won’t try and use Hayden. Dont get me wrong. I don’t really want to see him in a shirt again because that ship has sailed but the fact he has 2.5 years left on his contract and we won’t give him a look in says a lot about his relationship with Howe. I also don’t think we will sign anyone btw.

May I ask why. He seems to be highly rated in Italy. Juventus want him.

I’ve just seen the list of clubs their owners own. It’s bonkers. -
His only real weakness is his speed. He does not seem rapid.

I don’t think Bruno will be going anywhere. January or otherwise. Hes integral. I know FFP is shafting us but that’s happening to all clubs. We just need to see out this season and do the very best we can. Then we can shift some deadwood.
-
I agree with this. In a managers remit there is no way he had any way of throwing a game but chucking the kids in. Just was never going to happen. He could have made more substitutes earlier possibly but then would we have won the games we did. We would never know. We just have to accept that this season we have been very unlucky with injuries and we where not equipped to deal with 6 extra champions league games.

This suggests that Eddie does in fact play his best 11 regardless of fatigue?

Overheads infrastructure improvements and repairs. Utilities. Admin staff. Legal. There should be a seperate line on the P and L for football teams called “owners unilateral investment” This would prop up the spending but can not be called back in by the owners themselves until the P and L is plugged in future periods. This would allow for investment and protect the club at the same time. -
No quite the opposite. We will significantly improve now we have an ownership/leadership model that wants to improve every facet of the club. Our commercial income in the next 2-4 years will more than double. Which gives us more scope. Every aspect of the club has improved since they took over. But Rome wasn’t built in a day.
-
It was some very crappy low profile sites. But still a couple were. I assume they just piggy back off each other spouting shit. I refuse to believe he is unhappy. He could however be thinking this season is a poor one with European football looking bleak next season?
-
There’s a number of outlets out there claiming Bruno is unhappy and he wants the PSG move. Load of bollocks mind. But is weird that a number are reporting it. Coincidentally his agent is in Paris, and so is he.

When I say that it goes without reason that the manager has been put in place with that ethos in mind. Let be go deeper. Howe just doesn’t like the way that Miggy constantly gets things wrong. So would like a new RW who can get quality balls in the box. Then the club buy a Left Winger and sell one and don’t replace Miggy. Thats theoretical of course…… or is it.

Our commercial income went backwards in the Ashley era by a mahoosive amount. Factor in inflation and it’s surprising we didn’t go out of business. This is why I have no concerns with our commercial income rising by 150-200m in the next 2-4 years because the PL cannot legally stop it because the top six clubs are already earning that much. Remember there income will also go up aswell.
-
This is what we were up against last year. Richest owners in the world but because a dummy like Ashley was an idiot.
-
Agreed it’s akin to match fixing. If it’s a commercially viable deal with a willing sponsor then it should not be blocked. I suppose the grey area of if a PIF owned business sponsors our toilet paper for 70m a year then that is open to question. It’s not commercial. If however it was for 2m then they can’t question that. A commercial deal is quite easy to ascertain with simple facts. It can never be “your big as big as a top six club so yours have to be much less”. That would be restrictions of trade and open to legal action.
-
The ethos has be driven by the football manager for it to work. Clubs who buy players without the managers buy in are crazy. Eddie probably says I need this position with these attributes and this mentality. Now you go and do your job.
-
Fair market value is fine provided that past deals set the precedent for future ones. And that is really all they should be allowed to do. If we get a stadium sponsor for 50m and it’s legit. Then it’s fair because Other teams have done it.
-
Aye could be. Strange choice mind.

I don’t think it’s anger. I think it’s sheer worry that some might consider swapping Howe for Mourinho. Polar opposites in terms of styles. Not many of our players would suit him aswell.
