A lot of other teams underperformed last season. Aswell as us only losing 5 all season. We have lost 10 already. I know we have a horrible injury list and this contributed to the issue massively.

For me it’s the big problem. Not having that cover. Our midfield is far to rigid with Bruno Longstaff and Mikey all standing more or less next to each other. That hole was exploited many times yesterday and we didn’t do anything to address it.

He did say that. Which means that the problem will persist. Every top team has one.

Terrible news if true. Horrible news. I do wonder why these footballers don’t have state of the art intruder systems though.

At this moment I would still like players for the now or we won’t get into Europe. But I agree we do need both. If however FFP is what it sounds like we either have to buy players for the now or sell assets which I don’t want us to. I personally think our recruitment was quite good in summer but it’s just backfired a bit.

I would much rather us buy a first teamer for now with 35m. Honestly think the future development has to come second.

This is what I see as our biggest problem. No defensive protection from a proper DM. I guess is that what Tonali was meant to be?

If the release clause is met we can’t stop the sale. So unless we get that 100m he is staying. If we did sell it would be sad to see him go as he genuinely looks like he likes everything about the club and the area. The draw of London or Paris though. That’s a problem.

And we did over achieve. But are we where we should be this season? We may well be slightly under achieving this season. Albeit our injuries have been horrendous.

That’s why I think the 30m would be better spent for the now.

The restriction on losses needs to be uplifted in line with football inflation. And owner investment should be an allowable when it comes to the Profit figure for me. And it should not be deemed a loan and irreversible meaning they can’t take it out. But that is just because I am biased.

The problem isn’t the defence for me. It’s that defensive midfield hole that we have. If we had a beast of a defensive midfielder teams wouldn’t be cutting through us.

Im Not sure about this lad to be honest. Hes not really next level. 30m could be spent better elsewhere I think. Just my own thoughts.

Lad is gonna be a real player for us for the next decade. Easily 10-15 goal involvements a season. He gets us fouls aswell. 8/10 so far for us this season.

Hard one to take yesterday but they showed us the way to win games. That’s to have world class players to bring on. We can’t do that atm because of the injuries. We need some players back. The injuries are killing us.

Could any of these injuries have been avoided. They all seem pretty random to me. We didn’t have many injuries last season. We have had 6 extra games this season.
