  1. We only need 14 points from last 9 games to reach 70 points, seems very doable.
  2. Perfect upgrade to Longstaff would be Valverde, but no way Real sells him. Defensively he gives you the same if not more, but offensively, if he was in the same situations that Longstaff was, he would have had 10+ goals by now.

Don't mind me, just putting this out there (it's for season 2020/21)
  4. We should be able to get at minimum €40m, and over €50m if we go past the group stage. Although, UEFA coefficient will fuck us, that's why we need any European football as fast as possible.
  5. Looks like a £10m increase in commercial revenue, seems about right with most of it being the noon deal. Along with an increase of around £30m in EPL prize money, pretty decent rise this season. Main shirt sponsor will be the big one next year.

    U23s & Academy

Why does it feel like I see this exact tweet every 2 weeks?
  7. This would be our biggest signing yet
  8. One thing I hope this new ownership improves, and where I see a lot of room for our growth is the youth development, which basically went dead under Ashley. When you look at how many players England produced in recent times, and how many talented players we used to produce in 80s and 90s, with new and improved training grounds, hopefully next Bellingham or Foden comes through our academy. That could prove to be much more effective than paying 40m for every above average British young player.
  9. I think so too, but apparently Qatari's wanna keep him at all costs.
  10. Gonna be interesting to see PSG work their way around new FFP salary cap with Messi still at the club. They would have to have maximum of 90% of their revenue go to their player's salaries. Currently, even with their inflated revenues, they are at 111%.
  11. Would only accept him as a free transfer.
  12. And Bayern bought Davies at which age and from which league? That's all I'm saying, doesn't have to be specifically him, although he is very similar to Davies trajectory wise so far.
  13. Bring in Caleb Wiley then, that's the level of player we should be looking at.
  14. Did you just spell Perisic, Peresic?
  15. This more or less aligns with the eye test. I've been saying for a while that I see Brighton as a bigger threat for 4th spot than the Spurs.

Strategies like these are often devised months before transfer window actually starts and you are not gonna start doing it because Chelsea did it 5 days ago without understanding full implications of it down the line and implementing proper strategies for it. We would possibly do it in the summer, but chances are that that strategy might be banned by summer already.

Honestly I don't dislike him as a player, he is a classic example of a player you hate at other clubs and love in your club. The only reason I don't like this move is the money involved.
  18. We will need another center back soon (if anything purely for depth) Getting him on a free transfer in summer would be insane.

A proper bellend this one. I guess now he is just our bellend.
  20. This will be relevant for next season when UEFA's 'squad cost rule' kicks in that limits this number to 90%. However, these numbers are for 2021-22 without the noon deal. Even though we had a couple of players come in this summer which increases the wage bill, new sponsorships this summer + potential European Football should make us not worry about this.
  21. The more I watch Big Joe, the more incredible I find that someone thought he should be a striker
  22. Fantastic result for us. Do not want us to underestimate Brighton however, the same way others underestimated us. They play some proper football.
  23. Am I the only one tired of all the rumours? Just listening to official announcements now.
