He can't strike the ball cleanly for a shot yet he plays some lovely little passes, he DOES have technique. It's weird.

Agreed, he wastes too many opportunities to be playing higher up. He is a beast in CM.

Pope is better than Given, it's not close really.

It's a fair point about Bramble etc, but there were still times when crosses came in and Given just couldn't come and claim the ball to take the pressure off the defence. I'm 33 and i had a ST with my dad at the time, only about 12-15 years old but i can remember, he made some unreal saves but didn't command the box.

Given could never come for crosses and demand his box, people get carried away with his shot stopping, a keeper that comes for crosses eliminates goals conceded from corners etc. Given's kicking was also shite. Don't get me wrong, he was a good keeper, but Pope's better tbh.

When i do it it's just to hope it doesn't happen.

The Joelinton one is a great chance for me, right infront of goal under no challenge, just put it in the far corner, he scuffs nearly every shot, yet he plays great apart from his shooting, it's crazy.

Our corners are a joke like. I just never feel like we are going to score from them. (Joelinton at Leicester aside).

Why can't Joelinton strike the ball properly, it's bizarre.
