agreed. The police would also have significant issues with it. We had to comply with the buses and ticket only on moving bus rules just to get one the away end there.

kind of two different things. Has it been shite? Yes pretty much. Why has it been shite? Open to debate where ffp is probably the biggest factor.

I get it. I'm just impatient and this is the second time the news has been pushed. Summer is now October. And even when it eventually comes out it don't imagine it be set in stone. It's been nearly three years and we don't even have training ground plans. Anyway I don't want to be mr negative. It is exciting and hopefully by October we will know more.

It's a good article and sounds exciting. But it's still just a "soon" article. Probably driven by Man Utd's ability to put out their ideas in a couple months when they've been moving so slowly. I just want to hear the actual plans!
-
Love the add, but the fella should’ve got on the train with them!

I managed about a minute and he gave a couple digs at itk’s. that’s for having the patients to watch the whole thing for the sentence of actual info😄

Agreed. And as a striker when you know you may just get half a chance in 90 minutes it’s easy to tense up and fluff you chance when it does come. If you know you’ll get a few chances you can be more relaxed. Also I think his athleticism/physicality coming on for the last 30 minutes is going to be game changing compared to our options we have now. I really like him as a signing for us. Obviously not the marque signing but perfect for squad building.

that's what he said the tweet was based on: https://www.catribunal.org.uk/sites/cat/files/2024-04/16375724 SportsDirect.com Retail Limited v (1) Newcastle United Football Company Limited and (2) Newcastle United Limited.pdf (I'm not reading that!)

Man City didn’t do too bad after she left

I don't see how it could be this. Even if there was a fall out from that they could not force them to sell up over it.
-
This could be a real positive if it allows more investment for the training ground and ground. It could be there was friction as they wanted to finance the investments internally in the company rather than injecting money. Injecting money for us would be better as would avoid the Everton issues on increasing interest payments. The only thing that worries me is the way this has come out and 24 hours later there is no official response. Given everyone has written this as fact an official statement confirming it would make sense.
-
I wonder when the official announcement will come. Also curious who leaked it.
-
Good to see this confirmed: I think Man Utd could have done us a huge favour. We had ashworth for near a couple years where he could do his overal shaping of the structure. Carrying in we’d see demonising returns from that. Get paid 10 million for him. Now get someone who can be far more hands on with the recruitment. Maybe in a different world we could have had both of them but given he didn’t end up at Man Utd maybe Mitchell would not have come for that role. I’m over the moon with this appointment. First bit of really good news in a while.

Dan Ashworth (no longer working for Manchester United)
KetsbaiaIsBald replied to Rich's topic in Football
The only way I could see him writing that is if the agreement for compensation included a clause such that we would not go after him for communicating with ManUtd during his employment here. If the agreement included that the compensation amount would have reflected it. -
Better CV than Dan Ashworth. (And hasn't been shown to be a snake)

Yeah increase the money add a year to the term. Both parties get a win. Do that every year. You could even make the extra year option just for sela to exercise.

I feel like such an idiot.

in about 43 minutes I’d guess.

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)
KetsbaiaIsBald replied to 54's topic in Football
The noise could easily have been to show Brighton that even if they were the only ones interested in him we had options in terms of who we were going to sell -
Maybe assumptions on league place and champions league/uefa progression have bitten us. And I guess we don’t have any swap mates (yet).

That’s two Anderson stories now. I really wanted him to succeed. That disallowed goal and injuries could prove pivotal on hits NUFC career. The confidence it would have given and without the injury who knows. He looked excellent pre season. Or maybe he’s not sold….
-
That’s why I said appeal/case. Appeal fail, then take it further. It come down to competition case again. A group of clubs are putting in rules that forces other weaker financial clubs to sell assets below market value. It does not sound like fair competition to me….
-
I don’t see it as stupid I see it as a failings in the rules. Sell an asset for 30 million on 30 June. Comply Sell the same asset for 45 million at end of transfer window. Don’t comply but you have 15 million quid extra. It is completely wrong for rules to force someone to sell an asset below its value.

It was Forests exact defence last year that got the points reduction reduced. They refused to accept an offer as they were being taken advantage of. They argues that the market value of a player was higher at the end of a transfer window. They were proved correct at made, I think, 15 million extra on the player. Edit I was wrong about the reduction in points. It was their reason though. Personally I agree and thing the deadlines are incorrect and should be aligned.
