  1. It was Forests exact defence last year that got the points reduction reduced. They refused to accept an offer as they were being taken advantage of. They argues that the market value of a player was higher at the end of a transfer window. They were proved correct at made, I think, 15 million extra on the player. Edit I was wrong about the reduction in points. It was their reason though. Personally I agree and thing the deadlines are incorrect and should be aligned.
  2. If they believe they will be compliant if you include the sales from this summer not just the psr deadline date it makes some sense. Forest lost 4 points as they delayed selling a player and as a result made significantly more money on him. I think the premier league rules putting clubs in a position where they have to sell their assets at below market value could be challenged. Getting lots of evidence showing that they tried and clubs took advantage of the situation would help this appeal/case.
  3. I take your point and you could well be right. I just think things could get to a breaking point. When our take over was blocked social media was a mess. Premier league corrupt etc. It was one fan base. It’s now more and more. Everyone is getting bored of it. I don’t trust there will be a way to improve things through legit means. So I’d try to make the whole thing a farce.
  4. Your options are the sensible ones. I disagree with your conclusion on point one though. I think the commercial damage to the league out weighs this. this is the thing. I think it just completely undermines the premier league.
  5. I agree with this. The only other downside would be the unknown for 3/4 of the season. I kind of wish that us, Everton, villa, Chelsea, Leicester, Forest (maybe others) were all up for points deductions. I think this would put more pressure on ffp than anything else. It would just make a complete mockery of the league globally.
  6. conspiracy theory… we got some proof of their knowledge of the Tonali’s issues and gentlemen’s agreement we won’t pursue it but they’ll knock off a certain amount on a different transfer. (I don’t believe this but it does seem weird to me too)
  7. Hope we get £40m for him next year.
  8. Just got to hope that the deals we’re looking at now are squad fillers at reasonable prices to allow a marque player or two to come in after the ffp deadline is done.
  9. That makes sense. I was just thinking that they may chose to refuse to make a decision or given an opinion saying that this was the wrong forum for an argument on completion law. I’m not sure if the arbitration process was set up with the intent to decide matters like this. I thought it was more to decide differences of option on interpretation of the premier league rules. Not whether they are legal. This is just pure speculation on my part though.
  10. maybe a potential outcome could be that the case needs to go to a cat tribunal.
  11. Or it's preferable to lose a couple points. Lots of clubs losing points puts as much pressure on the FFP rules as anything else. It makes the league look like a joke. (I don't think this will be the case but its a small possibility) I think a decent objection to the rules could be 5,6, 7 clubs just failing them each year.
  12. So compared to last season the left half of our defence: Dummett out Kelly in Hall now at a stage that Howe will play him Feels like a decent improvement. edit... but Botman injured for a few months
  13. This could fail. Players would follow the money. The TV money would follow the best players. If us, villa, Everton one or two others and maybe not all 6 jump ship and get investment. Then Germany and maybe France don't go. You end up with a "Super leauge" that could go bankrupt.
  14. All size of the authentic shirts are back in stock on the official site
  15. this regular and player version is niggling me a bit. A replica shirt should be a replica of the players shirt. Playing 80 quid for a shirt that, although nice, is not the players shirt doesn’t feel right. So then to actually get a replica it costs 110 quid. I get inflation and all but I’m old and 40 quid always felt about right. 60-80 ok I get it things are more expensive. But 110 is expensive! anyway it’s just a a niggle. I went for the players version as ı preferred the look of it. I guess as long as everyone knows what they’re buying it’s not a big deal. And the video was class!
  16. Ah that makes more sense. I presumed it autocorrected from lesser.
  17. I had not noticed that the stripes look the same to me: I originally thought the authentic shirt would just use different materials and maybe the badge would be lower quality. It's a bit dodgy that we have basically two home shirts for sale now. Each to their own on what they prefer. But I can see some people getting both. Another way to look at it is the 80 quid shirt is not the same design as what the players are going to wear so technically is not our home shirt. Just something that looks very similar.
  18. Yeah I get that 😉 Still thought it was funny.
  19. So basically we should try to get Armaco under Newcastles company structure and we'd have unlimited spending?
  20. Did the value include the fact they theft the income from the hotels with the original trading entity? It seems weird to me to say my company owns a hotel worth 100 million and it generates income of 10 million a year. If I sold this property to someone but kept the rights to the 10 million income per year surely I could not sell it for 100 million?
  21. The back colar on the authentic. This is best clip I could find of it. I think I like it
