Aye, that's the market I want to see us operate in. Offering promising but not quite proven talents the opportunity to play games and shine in the big league. Except it's not worked out like that at all. I'd say the injury is the biggest factor, but there's also an issue with the mindset of that type of player at that stage in their career. Proven in the league, looking for a big pay cheque as it's likely to be the last big contract they sign, they've essentially completed the game at that stage. The drive and motivation is not guaranteed to be there. So while looking at signing younger players with potential to develop may appear to be a higher risk strategy, it can be just as risky going for established, proven talent if they come for the wrong reasons. Tripps and Burn are the kind of older players who have worked out, they both had the right attitude of wanting to keep improving themselves and dragging the club up with them. Wissa going on strike and looking for the big money deal should have been a red flag as to what his attitude was going to be
