I would be down for him but the price will be the major factor there. He's perfect for us. Not at 70m with huge wages. I think there is better value for money on the continent.

I can actually see us switching to 4-2-3-1 for many matches next season. Would be really interesting to see 3 fluid players at RW, CAM, LW who can pop up anywhere. I'd like a few of the following players. Obviously we wont be able to afford all of them in one window. I'd like Szaboslai for the right price. Maddison would be cool. Le Fee. Lavia. Warde-Prowse. Chukwueze. Solid CB like Kim min Jae which seems unlikely.. Gift Orban Backup GK Im not big on Diaby he seems very ASM to me. I'm against us breaking the bank on one player. I'd prefer if we spend 20-45m on each position of need. We can also utilize free transfers, its a really good season to go for that and we have a lot to offer to players on a free. We have like 10 players to sell. Curious to see how much we can generate from these. I can see there being interest from the Championship and L1 but I can also see the fees being low and some players wanting to stay on their wages.

Agreed. He is really solid. Good friends with Bruno. I've watched the hammers a bit this season and he is absolutely class. I'd pay 50m for him no questions asked.
-
Gravenberch looks like a clone of Isak except for hes a CM. His appearance and dribbling style look insanely similar to Isak. Wonder if we can get Bayern to agree a fee for him. Looks like a star. I'd be fine with 40m for him.
-
Thats fair. If Howe does indeed want him then I'm cool with it.
-
Bingo. I agree. Its all about confidence here and building for next season with a full pre-season under Howe. The kid has been through a big change in his life. I actually think he's looked pretty decent in his limited appearances. Could already have a goal and an assist in his short time on the pitch. I'm pretty confident he will come good and prove the doubters wrong.

I'm genuinely perplexed as to why this is even a topic to discuss. I cant see us going for him. We have Longstaff who's probably a slightly poorer man's version of him. Maybe I'm missing something here. Are there people who actually want us to sign him? For what purpose?
-
I'd take him in a heartbeat but I doubt he's available or even willing.
-
Thats a valid point. He's a feisty little guy though. I think we have enough tenacity and strength in the squad. We can afford to have a slightly smaller guy who works hard. What he lacks in size he makes up for everywhere else tbh. Reminds me a bit of a young Modric in his agility and range of passing. Obviously not comparing him to Luka in any other way asides from that and maybe the size criticism.

Haha. Im not sure. I've seen as high as 40 for him. Seems unlikely it will be that much.
-
I love watching Le Fee. He seems like the perfect player for us. Anyone else on the Le Fee train?
-
Im watching the fellas on Toon Review youtube live right now and they are talking about De Paul. Interesting player. I'd prefer to look elsewhere though. Had no clue we were linked.

I've actually thought of this myself. He would make an incredible LWB in an emergency situation
-
This is true. Who do you have in mind? I think Paqueta Joelinton Bruno in midfield would be terrifying to play against. Bruno and Paqueta can both unlock a low block.
-
I'd love Paqueta but it feels impossible. If we could ever clone Bruno...it would be Paqueta. Hes fucking incredible. Always right in the thick of things, extremely talented and also hes a close friend of Bruno. Lets get it done. Whats the most you would be fine with paying for Paqueta? Im cool with 40-50m. Much prefer him to Maddison

His technique is impeccable. His defense is impregnable. He wants to eat their hearts! - Mike Tyson All jokes aside I am very happy with the signing. He's barely played and when he has, he has shown really good qualities. I think he has loads of potential and I want to suspend judgement until he's had a full pre-season and had the magic wand of Howe cast a spell like +10 on all abilities. I have a gut feeling that the same people criticizing him will one day be very happy with him as a hard working, talented player who can play in many roles and gets stuck in every single time. If he finds a new gear and has some end product I think we will look back at the price tag as a bargain. Lets wait and see.

Its a really good time to scavenge off other clubs who have fallen on hard times. Its been done to us countless times. I'm curious to see if we go in for the Lavia/Ward-Prowse/Maddison/Neves caliber players. It would be poetic justice.

Bruno isn't only great he's very special in his vision, range of passing and passion for the game. I dont know many CM I would rank above him based on this seasons performance De Bruyne aside. To answer the previous point made here..it wont be a matter of the bid and the money being good for us, it will ultimately come down to Bruno and his wife and what he wants to do. We can match wages at this point. We can turn down big transfer offers for players who are invested in the club and want to be here. He's the heartbeat of our team. I'd be gutted if we lost Bruno so soon. I was just watching his introductory press conference (and Howe's) and I think he's someone to build around. We dont need the money. If he wants to go thats fine but I really doubt Madrid want him more than we do. I also really doubt he wants to be at Madrid more than he wants to be here.

Haha can you imagine? It would be hilarious. I'd be happy with the cheapest one. The CB. I think the other two will go for astronomically high fees and I really hope we dont put out 100m or more on a single player.
-
It is a shame. I was cheering for them. However they are in a VERY strong position and have been known to be impossible to negotiate with. I think they will make a killing in the transfer window and it will all come down to how they use that 200-300+m they get if they do end up caving and selling off this excellent core of players.
-
Thats fair but I could also see us going for an established striker so that Isak can play on the left (which i dont prefer) and Wilson can be 1a/1b with the new striker. We could also see a shift in formation for certain matches where we play 4-2-3-1 with Isak as a shadow striker/cam. We definitely need depth at that CF position. I'd prefer an established one as opposed to expecting big things from a youngster in an emergency situation with injuries in big matches
-
Kim Min-jae would be amazing for us. How on earth is his release clause so low? I can also see it being really good for the brand as we would attract tons of fans from South Korea who would take on NUFC...they are probably already Spurs fans and need some relief in cheering for a club in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!
-
I've recently heard that the whole Szoboszlai link is due to us sending scouts out to watch Haidara. It would make way more sense than us spending big on the Hungarian, who looks extremely good to be fair! He's also versatile but the prices i see for him seem a bit crazy. If we could get him in for around 40m I'd actually prefer him over Maddison due to his versatility, he could be seen as more talented in certain aspects of his game and he also seems like less of a cunt. He's already the captain of his national team and people speak highly of him as a leader at RB Leipzig.
-
For someone with almost no game time, who was playing with a knock, against a team that were parking the bus...he did alright. I wish he was in the championship this season..but we needed him in the end. He was kept around for cover in a situation like this. He didnt make any mistakes. I think he should be out on loan to a championship club next season or maybe if we are lucky we can loan him to a newly promoted team where he can get 10-15 games in at this level. Hard to say much about him in such limited minutes on the pitch.

Chukuwueze, Tierney, Le Fee, Maddison, Lavia, ball playing RCB and a young CF would make me cum
