    Anthony Gordon

I feel like Gordon will have a fantastic season. Looks like he can be our 3rd striker as well in an emergency situation. Impressive. Thats 4 positions he plays. He played LW CAM and RW at Everton almost equally at 30ish percent in each position. Now he's showing he can play up top. Wouldnt be surprised if he could play LWB in certain tactical set-ups. Thats quite impressive for such a young player.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Thats a fair point. We are missing a consistent goal threat out wide apart from that crazy month Almiron had.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's a also a very young player. I dont think there are too many in his age group who are already consistently scoring goals as a wide player. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he develops in that area as he grows.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I agree. I think Tonali where you have Bruno. Joelinton where you have Willock. ASM or Gordon on the left. Almiron or whoever we buy on the right. Murphy will be 3rd option on the right. Isak/Callum ASM/Gordon Almiron/New RW Jow Bruno Tonali

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

The one who stands out most to me is Braithwaite. Incredible young CB. Very well rounded. Maybe Gordon can put in a good word for us. Im curious what the price tag would be..

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Not a rumor but im watching england u21 destroy germany right now (hoping AG comes on at half) but a few players have caught my eye. Braithwaite the CB looks very good. Thomas is good at LB. Palmer looks very composed in CM. Lots of young talent in this squad. Madueke looks unreal but obviously no chance there.

I totally get this and agree with you on most parts but I think we are a much stronger squad if we have a LB who offers a bit more going forward and has a bit more pace to recover with. Also allows us to use Burn as CB3 or CB4 in an emergency if we have a new LB who can at the very least compete with Targett. I think part of the reason we were so reliant on attacking down the right is because as much as I love DB he really offers almost nothing going forward. He also requires a LW who is very conscious of tracking back to cover him in any counter situation. Its strange to say this because Burn had a really impressive season however stylistically and tactically I think we would really really benefit from a more balanced all round LB.
  9. Guler looks like one of the very best young players in the world, has a release clause of 17m and has been heavily linked with us. Hardly creepy. Paqueta is a very good player and friends with Bruno, they played together in France etc. People wanted a brazilian midfield trio with those two and Jow.
  10. I think Szob is 70m euros, so 59m pounds. Ive seen rumours that his release clause is only valid until the 15th or the 1st. I dont know if that means they would want more or less. Maddison at 50m is funny to me. He's got one year left on his deal. Relegated side. He's got all the leverage, they cant hold out for 50. He will just end up skipping training if nobody is willing to pay that and they will have to sell him late with no time to gel in a replacement. Guler I've read is 17m euros. We can buy 2 of these 3 and still have tons of money to cover LB, CB, CM and 3rd choice CF. Just means we will have to spend 20-30 on each of the remaining positions and maybe look at loans/free players or bargains for some spots. I'd be fine with us getting a cheap 3rd CF or one on loan as an emergency or rotation player for Wilson/Isak. Even a youngster for the cup matches or a cameo to get the starters some rest in games where we are ahead. I'd be fine with a normal 3rd or 4th choice CB behind Sven and Fabian, maybe even behind Burn. Just to keep Lascelles as 5th option minimum. Even a 15m CB with some experience would be fine. I think LB and CM would be big for us if we spend 70-80m combined on an attacking mid and a wide player. Cant start next season with Burn at LB. Also dont want Longstaff to play as many games next season. I love him as a depth CM but not starting every game. Would like potentially two CMs (one of them being the attacking mid mentioned above Szob or Maddison) to really challenge Longstaff and Willock. Another would need to be a workhorse with some skill on the ball. Thuram would be nice. The Viega kid looks good. Kone would be a dream. Guler - 20m Szob/Maddison level attacking mid- 50m 3rd/4th CB option - 15m LB to bench Burn - 20-30m CM to bench Longstaff - 30-40m. Depth/emergency CF - Free/Loaned veteran/Cheap youngster under 10m Maybe these numbers bump a bit if we can move some of the dead wood on for ANY money at all. 130-140m seems reasonable Wilson Isak Isak Anyone decent Guler Gordon Almiron ASM Murphy/ASM Maddison or Szob Willock Bruno and Jow Viega or Nmecha Longstaff Anderson Tierney(?) Botman Schar Trippier Targett Burn Schuurs Ashby/Krafth? Pope Dubravka? Karius Would any of you be underwhelmed going into the season with this as our depth chart? Sorry in advance for the crackheaded format lol
  11. If thats true, lets do 5 years plus one year club option, one year player option to extend or appearance based automatic extention with a bonus or wage rise
  12. Seriously I think Guler should be number one on the list. He has generational talent written all over him. It would bring us a ton of fans from Turkey and the Muslim world in general. The release clause is low. Surely we can’t miss? Offer him a nasty contract, yearly wage rise, signing bonus, no release clause. Sign him up for 7 years and include a potential clause to match him with highest earner if he reaches certain milestones. let’s get this done. Ajax and Dortmund my ass. He’s going to be our Turkish messi
  13. I'm somewhat curious if theres a cheeky wink and a promise to sell him or his dad a percentage of Inter Miami one day at a sweetheart price. Otherwise I cant imagine this greedy midget going there and turning fown 400m in saudi arabia
  14. Can he be converted to LB? Otherwise it seems very unlikely.
  15. One of my close friends is a physio and he told me a huge chunk of footballers have an imbalance between quad strength and hamstring. Which makes sense because its a really quad heavy sport. I could see that being the case with ASM maybe he could do some work with an expert to have a deep look into how and why he keeps getting hurt. Wouldnt hurt to drop 5-10lbs either
  16. I havent blamed Burn for his form. I've simply stated the fact that Burn is a unique LB who really needs to be covered and also offers nothing going forward.
  17. Wait how does this work? If we offer more and he wants to come here can he just say fuck off to City?
  18. Thats true but even his story looks like a goodbye. "Thanks lord" Idk but I would be sad to see him go. If he has a good summer and is fit next season he could have the best season of his career, especially in the CL. Whats a price that you guys would be happy with? 50m?
  19. Great point. I also think he would do better with a more balanced LB behind him. Having Dan Burn (who i love btw) behind him definitely put a bigger emphasis on him tracking back and covering for a 6'7 LB who is basically a CB. It would be a shame if he leaves. I genuinely think he would be incredible next season in the CL. Also for the money, which im guessing would be 30-40m..i doubt we could replace him with someone who offers what he does. Maybe Moussa Diaby is the only one we could get for that price but its literally a like for like. I'd prefer to keep ASM.

I've heard if you quickly press the reader mode on iPhone as soon as the page loads that you can bypass paywalls. I'm sure there are other methods. I'm determined to read this article. Will report back.

  23. Hahaha I'm just seeing all these replies now. Also Attar and Ibn Arabi are better than Rumi! But Rumi is great as well.
