To try to protect clubs like Man City. They knew about the breaches, and let them go with a fine, until someone was pushing for an independent investigation. Isn't that what happened?
-
Just the fact that Man City repeatedly has refused to cooperate tells me all I know. No way PL would press 115 charges against Man City unless they had some strong evidence. They wouldn't have had the balls.

I feel like Liverpool could still make a signing like that before june 30th if they really wanted to, and not break the rules? Not sure if they would spend this much on a midfielder this window, though, but they intended to do it last summer when Caicedo chose Chelsea.
-
To be fair they are breaking Premier League records of being really shit.
-
Hmm sorry, not following. What does that mean?
-
I don't want to give people anxiety here, but didn't Liverpool try to buy Caicedo for over £100m last summer, and then go for a much cheaper Endo instead? Did they spend much after that? Also, clubs can still sell players at the beginning of the window to free up funds? And also, there is an amortization system, so how much does it really affect this years books? Don't know that much about it.

He has been good this season, I don't think many will deny that. In previous seasons, however. He's been bad. Not necessarily horrible, but pretty bad, atleast in their system.

Genuine question, how would you feel about Boehly offering £30m for Højlund, get rejected, and then cry in the media about how it's one of the issues with football?
-
It's kind of like Man Utd fans saying that they hope they lose to Man City just so that Liverpool may not win the league. With Man City even being a local rival. I think that usually it's also a way of coping, like they know they will probably lose the game anyways. Because if they win they still celebrate and boast about it, even when they say before the game that they wanted Man City to beat them.
-
If you look at all the players in the PL who cost more than £90m, are/were any of them actually better than him? Maybe I have forgotten some, but I don't think so. Possibly Rice, but not really? I think Rice may be the best out of the current £90m + signings.
-
And if they don't agree, he can take it to court?
-
Didn't know that you can challenge an unrealistic evaluation like this. Man Utd wanted £15m from us to get Lingard on loan. Could we have made legal challenges over it? Lingard himself was quite upset over that.
-
Was it active in earlier seasons, or is it active in future summer windows? I feel bad for the media, then they can't milk clicks off of that clause anymore after june.

From the few things I've seen, I think his delivery is quite good when he does it in the right moments (seen som great crosses), but yeah, the decision making in those moments can be dodgy with him. My 2 cents.
-
Ratcliffe definetly has some images of Ashworth that he doesn't want to have leaked. The only explanation.
-
From what I've seen of him this season, he can do some strange things in the final third. I remember he made a mess of a big chance or two against Villa on the opening day, because of his decision making. That's the biggest flaw I've seen so far. His decision making still seems much better than that of Almiron though, who will make a mess of it 90% of the time.
-
Do we actually know for sure that he has the kind of clause mentioned in his contract, or may the media have made it up just to have a better reason for generating endless transfer rumours about him?
-
There was one moment where I was jumping because Longstaff didn't shoot. I thought that was a big chance. However, he would've had to shoot with his left, and I'm not sure I have ever seen him do that.

As I said earlier in another thread, if Palace had 11 days rest and we had 4 days, and the match went the same way as it did, we would be here saying they had more energy because they had more rest. Somehow it allways works in the opponents favour when we lose, and we are the victims of bad luck yet again.
-
There was no point in saying it. Palace had 4 days of rest, and they looked way more energetic. Would you rather have 4 days of rest than 11?
-
So either the gap between games is too small, or it's too big? Not sure about that haha. If it was like 3 weeks off, then I would kind of get it, but I'd rather have 11 days off than the 4 days off Palace had.

Was so confused, I thought you were talking about Jarrod Bowen. No goalie was a real bummer for him. I brought in Pickford for Kelleher, one of the few things that went my way.
-
When they were parking the bus in the start of the second half yesterday, you just knew it was over. We are still having so much trouble doing anything against that, and hard work is not enough in those scenarios. We need technical players to beat it.

You need to look at all of his performances this season vs last season. We gifted him that goal. His right peg is still good.
