Just like Almiron was key to our 4th place finish last season. So we should keep him and live in the past. Or?
-
Did I say anything else? I know that. He will be 34 next season. We have one of the the oldest squads in the Prem. He has high wages. Was important last season and at the start of this one, but the future is what matters.
-
As much as I want him back as soon as possible, we are proving that we can put in very good performances without him. Obviously he would be better than Jacob Murphy or Krafth at right back, but I don't think he has that insane influence on our peformances anymore, as some were arguing back in january. Wouldn't be disatrous if we sold him in the summer tbh. Our set pieces has still been great despite him being out, and we've been keeping clean sheets for a change.

Was 11, but still insane.

Getting our confidence back, and looking like ourselves from the start of the season. Top 6 actually looking real now. A good window and a serious assesment of how we can prevent the injury situation from this season, and next season could be fire.
-
Was CB 50% of the time at Brighton. At the end they moved him back into CB because he didn't work that well as a left wingback (understandably).
-
Comparable to Saka and Salah. Played way too many games to be able to produce these performances every week, and not get injured or exhausted in general. Really impressive.

20 more minutes.. You can do it!
-
Him and Vardy the only players who has scored against all of "sky six" in a single season.
-
Think he didn't get it since he kinda "pulled out" last second.
-
Our centre backs must be tired from running up for all these corners.
-
Haaland would be insane for us, would get more space. He likes that.
-
I expect nothing less than 6-1 now.
-
Surely we will see an improvement next season then. Can't wait!
-
Good on them. We should definetly do something similar.
-
Well, if he said that as in "there is something for us to learn from that" (a cautionary tale).. He is trying to look at why we struggled after CL (with fatigue and injuries for example). And what we maybe could've done better about it from the beginning of the season, that they should also probably think about if they are in the tournament next season. Or?
-
As someone who constanly tries to say that there is something seriously wrong going on with these injuries, the initial injury crisis after the CL run still affects us.. Botman, Willock, Wilson, Joelinton, Pope and Isak all got injured during that run. Others have been rushed back from injury due to absences. It's a vicious cycle. I really think we should've handled it better, and I'm concerned about it for next season, but it all started in november/december and it never ended from there.
-
Yes, I have the same opinion. No way it's all bad luck. But I also think there is no single reason, because some injuries were freak. I think all of the factors that I mentioned played a part, along with potensially several others. As Postecoglu would say: there is a cautionary tale here. That's what I'm reading from it. There is something to be learned from what happened to us this season. For example in regards to management of players in regards to fatigue and injuries. Maybe that's not what he meant, but it could be. Like if they qualify, they will need to try to manage things before they happen. Or it could just be expectation management as some said.
-
Potensially yes. But not sure about it when we have 13 injuries. Something that started with the CL run. Don't you think constanly having 10-13 injuries is a bit challenging? You said that yourself. The CL games plays a part in that. I feel like he's talking about things like injuries and fatigue here, like in "for whatever reason" it has contributed in causing us challenges like for example extreme amounts of injuries. "Whatever reason" could be for example playstyle, rotation, bad luck, etc.
-
We are were we are mainly because of what happened before and at the start of the CL run. After the CL run our form equates to around 14th in the table since then. It was at it's worst right before and after the 6th CL game. Our injury problems since then has never ended, it's even getting worse now.
-
I agree, we did get affected by those games, and if we are going to accuse others of using that as an excuse.. Well, how can we talk about our own struggles from the added games then? It's a legitimate challenge for any club.
-
An entire FA CUP run would be 7 games. Carabao Cup would be 6 games. 6 games extra in that schedule is a lot. Both fatigue and injuries started to settle at that time.
-
10 points in their last 10 games for Leicester..
-
On another note.. About Targett: how many times has a player been injured shortly after coming back this season? Or get a reccurrence? Won't count Murphy because that was calculated. Isak x3 Willock x3 Joelinton x2 Barnes Wilson (ofcourse, will just count him for 1 since it's him, but in reality it's probably 3 or something) Targett Botman So, on about 12 occasions players has been injured once again right after coming back from injury, or experienced a reccurence from a previous injury.

I haven't seen it. You were truly optimistic there, you just didn't know it.
