I wonder how many bids usually get put in during a transfer process, like in general. But aren’t often leaked/made public. Like, I can’t imagine most signings (between any club) only have 1 bid before it’s accepted. Could it be “normal” for transfers to have 3/4/5 bids before it gets accepted? But not made public like this one seems to be.

People saying move on because we are “overpaying” may have a point. But. We would do exactly the same if we had a 24 year old England international CB wanted by other clubs, knowing Chelsea have a 20% sell on clause. Palace probably only value him around the 50-55m mark which is what they’ll get. It’s the 20% add on that’s causing their valuation to go up this high. As mentioned. We would probably do the exact same thing.

I think (like everyone) he is sick of all the crap “ITK” accounts talking nonsense and all the other people believing everything they say. Must be even more annoying when it effects your actual job

yeah i agree, not dismissing that, more just the factor teams around have strengthened when we have not. so its more that worry than anything.

we going to have the same squad as last season arent we, with the only addition being kelly (and tonali obviously) murphy/almiron as our RW options. kelly/burn/schar as our CBs (until botman/lascelles are back)

could just be him playing the game to speed us up or improve the bid. similar to if news came out that a second club were in for him.

Spenny 3 - 0 Chester. Chester were tipped before season (will likely still be) favourites to win the league. Spenny came out the traps very well. Massive pressing game from the start. Got an early goal and didn’t look back. Very good performance by everyone on the pitch.
