The negative reactions are completely reasonable. You say it yourself, and you are right, that he has been dreadful in the past few seasons. I would go further and ask; when has he ever been good? Is he a player who possesses the qualities that a club with top 4-5 ambitions should have? The answer is pretty obvious.

I agree about Almiron/Murphy, but our priority should be a left back. I thought a LB would be the top priority during this transfer window. I love Big Dan but he's not a left back, and definitely not someone who can fend off opponents in the top 6 of the PL nor will he be against CL teams.
