Hopefully there won’t be the week gap between fixtures some of you have mentioned…carabao cup semi final is midweek after Sunderland!
-
I did wonder, if we hadn’t blocked Maguire’s shot and it went in, if they would have given us a goal in the circumstances.
-
The main thing we will miss is Pope‘s sweeping (Liverpool last year aside). He’s better on the ball than Pope and is a solid shot stopper, albeit not as good as Pope. I have faith that he will see us through until Pope is back, but these injuries are ridiculous, half of them are so unlucky!
-
The main difference between us and Man Utd for me is the wingers. We have two that work their socks off, one of which always has quality at the other end and the other shows quality in bits. All there wingers are lazy and think they are better than they are. Doesn’t work in the modern era of football, our full backs had a field day because of that

Best I’ve seen him play in a long time and he’s normally brilliant
-
Only thing he did wrong tonight was not get his chance into the bottom corner. What an incredible performance! I hope we keep the faith in him when others are back, he deserves to carry on playing and saves us at least £50m on a CM if he carries on like this
-
That was incredible, we are so bloody good aren’t we?
-
I said that last season and they continued being shit and we continued being brilliant. Fingers crossed that happens again!

Up until the shooting, this is one of the best I have seen us play. Beautiful football, just need to get that goal! Schar is absolutely incredible!

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Also Dortmund would rather us go through considering they’ve done the double over us already. They’ll think they have our number if we were to meet in a later round. -

Incredible to still be in it. Obviously we are desperate for second but if it is a score draw do we come third or fourth? I.e. do away goals count in head to head? -
I really like the look of Murphy and I can see him getting some minutes in the next month. Seems to be a solid defender and decent on the ball.
-
It’s a difficult one. Presumably Murphy will be back in January so you can end up recalling him, getting no injuries to Almiron and Murphy second half the season and the lad barely plays. I would keep him at Feyenoord, he is playing regularly for an exciting team, scoring goals and getting assists and getting European experience. Have a look at him in pre season.

One of the very rare occasions when I want Everton to win, still can’t believe Man Utd will be ahead of us if they win considering how shit they have been all season
-
Love his work rate which has been evident from the first game this season now that his fitness is at the correct level. My only concern was end product in terms of him becoming elite but wow he is there already! The quality he showed for both his assist and goal was amazing, what a player…absolutely buzzing for him!
-
Also I think the players need to trust Miley more, I noticed a few times when the ball wasn’t given to him when he was in good positions. He looks a real star
-
Should be in the lead, played some lovely stuff at times but then one moment of stupidity from Lascelles and a soft free kick has undone it. Fingers crossed we can go again and get the three points, because there’s nothing on the bench to give us a boost!
-
I think pretty much the whole team was to be fair. I am writing that game off personally. I would go for Trippier left back because he has shown on numerous occasions for England that he can do a job there with Tino on the right where he has been one of our best players this season when he has been given chances.
-
There have been more than 60 transfers between Udinese and Watford including a very dodgy one for Kamara
-
I do love the thought of the usual suspects shitting themselves as soon as Ashworth did that interview
-
Barnes as well, if he wanted to give players a rest it would be nice to have those different options up top, then we could have started Tino at full back. He did ok on the wing but was probably our best player as soon as he moved back
-
Seems like I got the Bruno bit wrong judging by the comments, fair enough! Just felt he didn’t have his usual influence on the game personally.
-
Also, how many fouls did Adeyemi give away? So frustrating that he didn’t book some of them so they could foul over and over again.
