    James Trafford

Pope has had a drop off this season, but still showed glimpses of being the class keeper he was. We will struggle to get a goalkeeper as good at commanding his area and sweeping as Pope is, but if we can get someone who can do them to a decent level but is a composed passer of the ball it can change our whole style. I have always thought that GK is our most important position to upgrade except getting a quick young RCB. If Trafford is the one they think can do it, then get him in.

    João Pedro

He is a worse version of Cunha for me, can play ST, AM and LW, he is from Brazil and he has a nasty side to him. We were apparently after him as well, so maybe this is a priority position to us. However, he is three years younger and is doing much better at this age than Cunha was. If Howe wants him and has a plan for him and Isak together then I am all for it. No more than £60m though, preferably closer to the £50m mark.
  3. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Burnley are demanding stupid money for Trafford now they are promoted, could see them asking for double what they wanted last year.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

We need a statement signing at centre back. Schar showed signs of deteriorating as the season went on so we really need someone who is going to start now and for years to come whether that is Guehi or someone else. If PSR didn't exist then signings like Quansah for depth and potential would be good but we can't afford to spend £30m on someone that doesn't improve us instantly.
  5. The problem with Pope is, there aren't many obvious teams that would want him as his style of play is out of fashion. Even some promoted teams now wouldn't go near him because they want a keeper who is good with their feet. The only PL teams that I think could be interested (i.e. may need a goalkeeper and would sacrifice a ball playing one for someone as good at Pope at shot stopping) is very limited, I would only suspect Leeds and maybe Wolves but even then I think they would want someone better with their feet.
  6. Seemingly wanted by Barcelona, Arsenal, Villa and Man Utd. Must have something about him!

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

All opinions but Dibling will have a more successful career and reach bigger heights than Mbeumo in my opinion. Mbeumo is a sure thing for now though so I don't know who would be the better option if we had the choice of signing either one tomorrow. In a none PSR world, I would love to sign both.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If he is going to go either way then he would want him out as early as possible so they can replace him and use the rest of the funds to improve the squad. They didn't need to sell last summer so could drag it on and demand higher.
  9. Getting CL twice in three years and winning our first major domestic trophy in 70 years suggests that the owners have done a pretty good job of running the football club so far.
  10. Local Journo's and ITK's not having a clue, surprise surpise!
  11. Schar's goal against Liverpool (thanks Kelleher) was huge!

    aston villa

It doesn't matter that he stands on his hand, every tackle has contact on a player as well, all that matters is that he got the ball first and it wasn't under control from the goalkeeper. I love the fact that it was controversial, we got enough points over the course of the season to earn a CL spot and we can laugh at them for the injustice of that goal being disallowed. Win win and iI hope it sets them back a few years!

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I would disagree with this. Delap has such a low release clause that any team needing a striker would be stupid not to go for him. Mbuemo is going to cost a lot of money straight up so he probably can't demand as much in wages. Then the fact the fee is so large it will probably rule other teams out. If we want Mbuemo and move fast, we get him in my opinion.

  15. I will watch a stream but it's never as good in terms of quality, sound etc. Not to mention the fact that they cut out at times and you are behind in real time which is frustrating when you are wanting to easily keep on top of other results that have an impact on you.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Pretty much the same price and position as Cunha and he isn't close to Cunha's level in my opinion. Both have a red card in them as well.
  17. Sky sports have only got two games, how bizarre! TNT will definitely be Aston Villa's game so looks like it is a dodgy stream for our second biggest game of the season.
  18. I get what you are saying but we are at home to a lower midtable team, they should be changing their system to counteract us not the other way round. If we play our usual game to a 60% level we should win.
  19. Absolutely ridiculous that all 10 games aren't available especially now they have the red button thing on Sky Sports+. If Man City don't win tonight then I could see that being on TV instead of us if it just the four games but has mentioned surely you could say these are the live games followed by the trophy celebrations in the Liverpool game instead of showing a nothing game when there are four matches with something major to play for.
  20. Bit gutting because we probably deserved it over the 90. Lot of pressure on next week but Howe normally delivers. We are above one of them no matter what. A draw could be enough but we can do it!
  21. I think Wilson has done ok to be fair. Wouldn't surprise me if he brought Willock on for Wilson rather than Osula
  22. A bit disappointing given they were both drawing at half time but was expecting this today so it is what it is. Still feel there is a decent chance of a slip up from Forest this weekend and then hopefully we can do our job anyway. With the pressure on - Villa, Chelsea and Man City all have potentially tricky games last day of the season as well.
  23. Villa 3-0 Spurs Chelsea 2-0 Man United Everton 3-0 Southampton West Ham 1-1 Forest Brentford 2-1 Fulham Leicester 1-2 Ipswich Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle Brighton 1-1 Liverpool Palace 1-1 Wolves Man City 2-1 Bournemouth
  24. We would be in the CL already if they turned up like this last week!
  25. How have they missed!
