Watched since 80mins. First time I've watched women's football; standard is horrific. They play like non league level 10 non league side - and lose? Men or women, we are losers - the FA are losers. Soutgate is a loser from the WC. -

Man City's FFP charges will be resolved with a financial handshake, and as a result FFP rules will be reconfigured so that Saudi clubs play in European competition. City's lawyers winning against FFP charges, will no doubt help us - but in doing so will also give free reign for Saudi Arabia playing and Saudi League being incorporated to EUFA -

If Man City break a hole in these FFP rules - which seems like they are targeting - we then become one the elite/super clubs, we become untouchable financially. We become the richest club in the world, with the ability to spend it. Likes of Spurs, Liverpool are left in the dust. Man City, Chelsea, PSG have without doubt flounced FFP rules and just paid the a fine. I think Man City with this current case, will actually break FFP wide open. -
Everyone has the right to critique any players performance, but his chance on goal aside he was far from shite. Maybe it's natural, the higher the profile of a player the greater they get slated or adulated. Bruno's class, but sad reality is we'll one day sign a £40M player who turns out total dogshit. Until that day comes, we can't slate Bruno for having a 5/10 performance away to Man City in a 1-0 loss!

Love how we press high, but difference between how us and Man City pull it off is how compact we are and how we stop midfield attacks. When we had the ball, we found it near impossible to beat their press, and pass it into our midfield/attack and get on the turn. Playing through the lines is second nature with Man City/Pep. We'll beat a lot of teams this season with our intensity, but Man City are levels above.

Lewis Hall to miss rest of season with foot injury (Official)

Euro 2024 - Lewis Hall, Tino, Gordon, Pope and Willock all in the squad? Miley and Longstaff at a stretch? Read through Shed End's thread on him when he first started playing for them, and lot of comments saying he'd play for England within 2 years. -
Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Joey Barton did compare him to Maradona -
Wish Southgate could build England's side around Bellingham and Foden playing together in midfield. Obviously being played wide under Pep is totally different to being stuck out on the wing for Bruce et al, but always baffled me why Foden is always played wide. Remember watching probably one of his first games, and Pep played him LB away to someone like Kiev. If he played for any of the 19 other PL clubs - he'd be a stand out player. KDB being injured and no Gundogan, and last nights performance will increase his profile and attention he'll get.

Not so long ago we'd have felt anything below a 3-0 dusting away to City as a victory. Howe and the team certainly won't be patting themselves on the back losing and not scoring, but testament to be had everyone (club and fans) is disappointed losing 1-0. The FA Cup match during Covid at home, where Bruce parked 10 men on edge of our box was eye-gouging to watch. Thought we were actually competitive last night. Certainly no shame in losing 1-0 to Man City away. -

I'm quietly confident that Man City's lawyers actually win this case, and create a precedent against FFP rules. It's only ever going to be advantageous for us whenever that damn bursts. -
Loved when he was asked in his press conference something like "is there anything specific to take from the game?" and just responded dead-pan "yes, lots."

Foden aged 23 - 5 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 1 Champions League, U17 World Cup Even couple of years ago by far best English player I've seen since early Rooney. Thought for a while he's under rated in terms of how good he is - last night's performance will highlight that now though. Boiled my piss during World Cup that Southgate didn't have him playing in CM. -
If that was the worst Adidas gave us... Happy to hear Adidas are back, but expect the shirt to be still crap. Like I've said Napoli/Armani - just really simple... black white, then ruin it with sponsors
-
Would be happy with something like this. The sponsor across the middle will ruin it - but just simple black and white.
-
They'd rake it in even if they could stream on YT. Fair play to them anyhow, they've more eyes one them than 90% of the FL72.

He's a totally different option at LB to Burn, and even Targett. Hall is Howe's answer to Pep's Cancelo/Zinchenko/Lewis. Can see him starting a lot of games, as him playing LB will reshape how we play as a whole. Dan Burn is very rigid in final third compared to a player like Hall. Todays full back isn't the Roberto Carlos style, that hugs the touchline and crosses - it's what Guardiola started with Lahm. Hall will play this role - a polar opposite to what Burn can offer. Sounds silly to say - but a 18 year old LB with a handful of PL appearances will give us another string to our bow. -
2002/03 was peak Adidas for me - the away kit of grey/dark grey! Kits have far too much going on now. Napoli with Armani are doing it right for me - just a blue shirt with a sponsor. Clean and clear.

Are Wrexham steaming their games somewhere like?
-
Forgotten Adam Lallana existed. Love watching him control a ball on the turn and do the drag round thing. For me, one of those random players you love to watch.

Is that Michael Jackson statue still at Fulham?
-
Gary O'Niell will relegate Wolves. Seems totally wrong fit. Used to enjoy watching them with Nuno that season they got into Europe - but seem a shadow of that now.
