  1. The different interpretations of VAR will be a HUGE problem if UEFA doesn't do something. But on simple things like handballs it's absurd that the interpretations are different... imagine an English referee in a Champions League final who doesn't award a penalty for a foul like the one committed by Qarabag.
  2. Maybe I expressed myself poorly... the doubt about the foul is not the referee's doubt, if he is sure of the foul because he was positioned a meter away and whistles for the penalty, the VAR cannot intervene even if in their opinion the foul doesn't exist. This is a good thing for me, but I find point 2 very wrong.
  3. I'll give two examples of the VAR rule in Italy, one very positive and one very negative (tell me if it's the same rule in the UK): 1) Dubious foul in the penalty area...if the referee is close to the action and declares he saw it correctly, the VAR cannot intervene. It intervenes only at the referee's request. 2) Second yellow card (or yellow card in general) resulting in expulsion...the VAR cannot intervene. Direct red card...the VAR can intervene.
  4. However... I'm used to seeing quite different interpretations of the use of VAR between Italy, France, Spain, and Germany and this is very evident when European cup matches are played... it's not possible that European federations give different instructions to referees.
  5. OK...here it's very simple and has eliminated a lot of controversy; if the arm is far from the body it's always a penalty, it doesn't matter if it was involuntary or if the hand/arm position is natural.
  6. I'm shocked by your comments on the first penalty...can you explain to me what the rule says about handballs in the UK ?
  7. The real Milanesi are out on the streets celebrating Bodo.
  8. It's not the same thing... Pirlo went to Juve but in Milano there was only applause for him, Baggio was loved but he didn't have Milan in his heart. Collovati in the '80s got a stone in his head for moving from us to Inter, Donnarumma is another piece of shit... it all depends on what you say and how you behave. But we are talking about a completely different fan culture and you are certainly much more advanced in this.
  9. Impossible, here it's not like in the UK...living in Milano and not being able to go out to a restaurant or the bar near home for a coffee is not something a young man with a family would accept. Nicola Berti knows something about it...or Zago in Roma.
  10. Very good in previous years, this season a little less.
  11. Elanga's brother plays CM...
  12. An Italian proverb says: "Those who have bread have no teeth (and those who have teeth have no bread)"
  13. Guardiola is a great coach but when he talks like that he makes himself ridiculous...
  14. I agree...both aren't right for you. Ancelotti is a great coach, but It's not the best solution for rebuilding a team. In my opinion, the best options are: 1) Fabregas: What he's doing in Como is miraculous...it's true they have Nico Paz who is an incredible talent but the rest of the team is only decent, yet they play very well and cause problems for anyone who plays against them. 2) Gasperini: He left Atalanta and in Bergamo they miss him...Atalanta has gone back to being a normal team. The attacking and pressing team, with its players chasing you even at the end of the game, has disappeared. You might not win with him, but you'll certainly have fun at the stadium...especially away from home, you'll have a team that attacks for 90 minutes. 3) Conte: I hated Conte as a player and I hate him even more as a coach, but there's no doubt he can be a decisive factor for a team like yours. Conte is a very risky option... he controls the transfer market, not the club, so he needs carte blanche. No one wanted Lukaku at Inter or McTominay at Napoli but in the end they arrived and were decisive. With Conte you could win the league in his first year or finish 15th, depending on the players' relationship with him.
  15. Even here in Milano some people think Leao is a great player...fortunately they are few.
  16. Maybe it's just my impression but it seems to me that his center of gravity on the pitch is about ten meters further back than last season... it's also true that up until November his performances were more than good, only in the last two months have become worse.
  17. Well...I thought only a few of you thought this way, but I was wrong.
  18. If you mean he's very far from being Pirlo or Xavi I agree with you. For the record....Bruno is also very far from those two.
  19. Jesus Christ guys....you have a short memory !!
  20. It's not a physical problem, he made those mistakes with us too... he's a good defender but his defensive reading is lacking and ,above all, his positioning mistakes are numerous. If my team played a CL final and I had to choose between him and Burn as CB, I would have no doubts in choosing Burn.
  21. You have money and you are attractive because anyone wants to play in the PL... if today a promising 20-year-old was contested between Milan and Newcastle he would choose to come to you but if you have a scouting that sucks you will never see this player. You have to do what you did with Hall, which is a real gem, but you have to do it abroad too and not just in the UK.
