I agree with most of that, the inspiration for our current shirt was okay I thought - there's only been three happy periods in my lifetime (pre PIF), Keegan promotion as player, Entertainers and Robson Champions League so there's not a great well of happy memories to draw from. I only think they should draw inspiration from good times so there's no way I'm getting that awful remake of the 97-98 away. So the only other option for inspiration for the home is asics 93-95. I think supply of the 96 shirt was okay - I only seen it out of stock a couple of tines and it's always in JD. Lifestyle items is where more work is needed - a plain t shirt or hoddie with a big trefoil in the middle with 'magpies' in the adidas font would be a good start. In fact anything with a trefoil would be a good start.

A seamstress! It's not the 1950s any more. The thing is glued on FFS. In my opinion, this beats anything Castore era.

Overall first year with adidas has been okay but not great. 1) playing/training kit was all good 2) adidas Originals and ZDN was good 3) supply for the Originals and ZDN was absolutely terrible 4) very poor selection of lifestyle stuff, especially in comparison to Leeds and the other adidas elite clubs 5) a shocker that there was nothing released for Christmas - 96 shirt should have launched in November not January. And they should have had the Originals in stock then as well. Hopefully better to follow. Highlight for me was the 80s style retro shirt.

Castore would have been ripped apart for that

Well spotted! It's a good sign even if its fake as they usually get the main bits correct.

Who is Johnson? Is he he talking about Adam Johnson?

Would be good if they did.

Is there any way of getting this to save on my Sky Box like you can do with the other stuff on Sky? I'd imagine it won't be available to watch via ITV X forever. EDIT just seen it's available on YouTube

UEFA does allow stripes if they contrast enough. See Barcelona 23/24 Champions League shirt below. "Article 54 of the UEFA Equipment Regulations clearly sets out the spectrophotometric method for determining the contrast on the shirt. Therefore, the contrast of Barcelona's stripes and numbers is still within the safe zone and there is no need to remove the stripes."
-
Good point - if they line it up correctly there could be enough contrast to go with stripes on the back. The template is wrong tho so it definitely isn't the real thing.
-
Oh well there you go then. I'd say that's nailed on in that case. I'm sure the diagonal fade will line up properly on the real thing. It's great in my opinion.

If I was in marketing at adidas I'd leak a few different samples early on in the year and gauge opinion. Then press the trigger on the one that gets the best reaction.

I think that's splendid. Until FH reports it though I'm going to remain skeptical. Very rare that they get something completely wrong.

Is this real or AI?

My office is on the route so will pop in when the bus passes.

Careful buying a one from there as some of the ones they had in last week didn't have the Sam Fender badge on them.
-
Think it's a photo of SAFC playerJoe Bellingham

To be fair it would be interesting to get the actual link for that thread, I'd be surprised if there has been much support for that comment and there's probably a lot of them disagreeing.

JD on Northd. St. Selling the Carabao shirt at reduced £60 - but WITHOUT the Sam Fender logo! WTF?
-
That's possible you can buy those shirts in the club shop. Even if they have sold out you can get the shirt with the player name then add the Fender, Carabao Cup and Liverpool v NUFC badges separately. That's what I plan to do anyway.
-
That is mint that.

Have you seen how many murals they've got at Anfield. Almost every player to put on the red shirt has a mural dedicated to them. Only NUFC one I can think of is Shearer on Bensham Bank (either Whickham House or Bensham Jockey pub) https://www.thisisanfield.com/2023/06/every-liverpool-fc-mural-and-where-to-find-them-in-the-city/
