  1. Just noticed ACON starts earlier this year. Means Mbeumo won't be playing for Man Utd when we rock up at OT at Christmas.
  2. We’d still be linked to this cunt if we hadn’t been taken over.
  3. We hold all the power though. I love Gordon, but his value is £80m mark. They come in with that, we have to consider it because there’s plenty of talent in LW out there, just may not have same traits, but we will sell a top player soon as it’s only natural.
  4. Don’t forget the odd depressing loan approach before closed for business
  5. Hoping that since all news says we haven’t gone back for Etitike after first bid Monday was rejected, we’ve spent rest of this week so far going after someone else and get a break out story by tomorrow evening of who we have agreed a deal with.
  6. People need to forget Wissa, don’t waste your mental energy on a non-existent transfer. Switch off for now and get ready for Friday PM news.
  7. Dan Burn to smash into him early doors, Tonali to smash him too. Crowd roaring, headloss from Etitike as he walks off the pitch after 60 mins 2-0 down.
  8. It could almost be like all three clubs enquired for Sesko but been told he’s agreed a deal elsewhere and not interested, but don’t know the club. Then in the background as we can’t get price agreed, gone for Pedro / Etitike to tell Red Bull we are happy to go elsewhere if demands don’t drop.
  9. Like it’s the league champions and the top three striker in world, that would cost a record fee. Dream traffic engagement. Sure if we leaked that we are interested in signing say Harry Kane, and prepared to pay £80m+ should Bayern consider selling, Romano would be tweeting about it for rest of window despite there being less than 1% to it
  10. I think it’s just a case of whoever is involved in this at Liverpool have leaked out to Romano / Orny (or someone else who those two trust with information), that they are interested in Isak but we’re not interested in selling, and so the club is looking at other deals which Etitike is one. Romano / Orny then have gone off on a wild one these past few days tweeting for traffic, where eventually even Orny had to pull back as he knows fuck all and likely knows how dumb it was with no solid information. But damage done for him.
  11. He’d be a messy deal to do because of owning rights / release clause. Let Mendes peddle him onto someone in 2026.
  12. Don’t disagree at all, I wouldn’t want us doing the deal at that price even if turns out to be good long term. The good price was last summer, it’s a premium and a gamble price this summer as you allude too. £20m signing years ago that’s then sold for £12m as they didn’t work, is almost todays £30m+ and sold for less than £20m. So much money in prem, clubs can afford to write off losses in the short term. Too many of them it will catch up though / halt progression if others around you keep getting hits.
  13. Think with the striker, it’s great if we can get one in now so they can work on tactical play during pre season that will be used in games, but end of day, Isak will start and play full 90 first couple of league games so it’s not essential to have one in by early August. If they arrive like Isak did himself late in August as a deal becomes available, that’s perfectly fine because season is only just starting.
  14. Think it’s clear to me (maybe others see differently) that Howe views him more as RW long term.
  15. Chance we go back for Ferran Torres? He’s seemingly another long term target and fits the striker alongside Isak, but can also cover additional positions.
  16. I’ve just not kept up to date with European football outside of Seria A last season, so unsure who would be a similar profile we could move onto next? Or we edge away from high cost striker, go high cost CM and get a more raw striker at a lower cost.
  17. It’s a classic we’ve made a move, price is driving up, so let’s move on which we did loads of in 2023. Plenty more targets out there. Think what’s reassuring is we quickly moved from Pedro to Etikike, and hopefully same again. Like there’s talks going on with different players it seems which is good.
  18. As in this prem season gone? If so, I agree he looked average but have to caveat with he was playing for a side that as the season went on, confidence drained away and more of his time was spent defending. The Euros then reminds clubs of what he’s actually about in a side that has more of the ball and time isn’t spent defending with him in his own third, the potential on show and so clubs want him. Ipswich will come straight back up, so don’t get him this summer, be even harder and likely more costly next summer (with more clubs interested as he posts 20+ G/A). What also helps with bumping Hutchinson value up IMO, is due to him not being a fixed player. Can still be moulded to how a club sees fit for their future development. Can play LW / CAM / RW, and a club can get more out of him in one of those fixed positions (or use him for versatility which would go against long term).
  19. That was his release clause and for the price, you are paying for potential where you can get the sum back and more if they progress, or get a reasonable squad player of longevity. If Longstaff broke out in current climate like he did under Benitez, we’d likely be fending off £40m+ bids for him as he’d tick the boxes for clubs to take the gamble at a high price. Time to sign Hutchison was last summer when he was available for a more reasonable price. Clubs though just allowed Ipswich the free run at him as they didn’t want to gamble on just a championship season. Again it’s shown which I’ve said before, there’s talent down there and moves should be made as the value is there long term. Be interesting to see what current England u19s are loaned out to championship, because the talent is deep again.
  20. I’m clinging onto the hope that Trafford / CB deals are there ready to click go, but we’re not as we are seeing what cost striker signing will be (Pedro now Etikike). Once that’s concluded, hopefully if to no deal, we quickly wrap up the GK / CB, then know what targets we need to move onto for our remaining money for the striker option. Because a £20m-£30m striker option will be hugely different to the £60m+ ones.
  21. Made contact Monday. But then ends saying not entered the race. Liverpool have bid ready for Isak, but not made a bid as we’re not open to selling. Just a load of shite that tweet that says the square route of fuck all.
  22. Agent trying to play up his price. Walk away and leave him to Liverpool. We’ve been focused on this, but I do hope we’ve been working on a CB and Trafford deal this week because they’re equally as important and Howe will want in.
  23. Even more not arsed if we’re actually not investing time in Etikike deal, and actually tying up another striker behind closed doors. That would be the POWER PLAY Romano / Orny wankers.
  24. Think it’s just the likely higher wages and agent fee, with the transfer fee that’s putting clubs off. Not worth the outlay, and Etitike isn’t either if we’re talking release clause, even £70m is at the upper limit and probably only a goer if wages are around £120k
  25. Probably posted already, but Romano is not covering himself in glory here. No bid, won’t bid unless we say we are open to selling, which we’ve said we’re not Either Isak agent is paying Romano big money to run with this to help his negotiations for a strong deal, or it’s been a poor summer for Romano and he needs the clicks / traffic.
