  1. I couldn’t care about City charges being nothing if they keep spending the amounts they are on the players they have so far. They’re assembling a VERY average squad.
  2. Think it’s more if we just want an experience, low cost back up striker, he’s perfectly suited in all honesty. He’s output for his age, in a horrific side is good. His link up play is so sharp in and around the box. I’d argue against the signing being seen as a laughing stock. Old players still have value in squads if they’re the right ones.
  3. Grealish as the CM loan option for one year would work for me. But don’t see why Man City would let him move to a direct rival on loan. Full transfer different question, but that won’t happen. Agent again must be looking for a move out for him, which will be to Villa if he leaves.
  4. There’s far too much concentrated noise around Trafford, with no other clubs seemingly linked, for the deal not to happen IMO. Do believe a gentlemen’s agreement was established last summer with Trafford and Burnley, and once our season is completed we will make a formal move. £20m rising to £25m would be a logical guess.
  5. Rodrygo is balance with output. Real Madrid selling him is a dumb move, because to get someone that selfishly works hard to offer balance whilst contributing his output will be hard to replace. Side will become unbalanced in attack like we’ve seen PSG over the years.
  6. One off game, sides alway have a chance. But Sheff Utd have far too much quality if Sunderland play the same again we’ve seen across two legs. Sheff Utd will take their chances, then off the bench, got far more quality than Sunderland / Coventry. The prem money will be on show and it won’t be a shock.
  7. That was proper weird by the goalkeeper
  8. Already a rancid quality on display. Sheaf thinking no-one else was on the pitch then with how much time he wanted.
  9. Coventry have more goals in their side, so can easily rattle them in. Just they’re more abject at the back as we saw in first leg so it counter balances things. Think it’ll be a draw, and it’s all on Sheff Utd to ensure there’s more tears at Wembley. Hopefully like a 3-0 at HT jobby, so they start leaving early 2nd half.
  10. When we get linked to likes of Eze, I always see it as more agents using our name to help with negotiations with the player off elsewhere.
  11. He’ll be a very good buy for a club, but he needs to join one that’s got a clear slot at LW ready. Liverpool as Diaz replacement is logical, as he’d nail that down ahead of Gakpo.
  12. Dusan would be an opportunistic move at low transfer cost (high wages) with a clear intention IMO that he will be sold in 12 months.
  13. Like if we spend £120m and it’s a GK / CB / RW in, with maybe a back up ST low cost, it doesn’t provide us much wiggle room to then sign the other 5 positions we need in 2026 without a significant outgoing. If there’s a seriously good offer for a player this summer, I think we will and we should sell. Easier to evolve squad from a position of strength.
  14. Yea this. Our focus won’t be just on this window, it’ll be 2026 too and we will need to sell to buy for that. Be heads in sand to think we don’t, as our squad needs so much work doing for depth.
  15. Referee not falling for Marquinhos dive last week was great. Need to see more of it, if it’s a foul, VAR will call it up in same as penalties.
  16. We need to sign this summer and next: GK / RB / CB x2 / LB / CM x2 / ST / RW As we’ve seen in previous windows being restricted to make buys, there’s absolutely no doubt to fund those buys people we regard as key players will need to be sold.
  17. I can understand the Barnes links. He’s at peak resale value this summer, and if club thinks Cordero has big potential for LW, an offer of £45m+ for Barnes makes them tempted to use that to sign a CM (with Joelinton / Osula the back up LW for one season) with new RW on other side.
  18. Tonali / Isak / Burn / Hall / Gordon are only hands off players for me, for their current quality, years to come, leadership or style of play. Everyone else has a price in this modern day.
  19. He’s a perfect striker in todays game, had running beyond a back line that teams hate. He's not finished article, but then any 2nd striker we sign shouldn’t be as Isak is that, and Howe can take them to next level. For £30m, he’s a great pick up but looks like going elsewhere.
  20. Choosing between Man Utd and Chelsea. I question his thought process there as a young player.
  21. Annoyingly the right type of profile they need in CM.
  22. Trying to guess who will be where in what pots depending on sides qualifying domestically / navigating play offs. 8 group games looking like (due to 6 English sides, one will be drawn another): Real Madrid (H), Liverpool (A), Atletico Madrid (A), Atalanta (H), Club Brugge (H), Ajax (A), Napoli (A), Marseille (H) Be a 'group of death' style again for us
  23. Finishing 2nd would be mad 22-23: 71 23-24: 60 24-25: 66-71 Think it’s fair to say we have established what will be an average season moving points wise. Our low end should be enough to finish top 7 vast majority of time. Going forward it’ll be to increase that low end to the 70 mark which then means upper end is title challengers. At the moment our top end is top 4 challengers. Some progress we’ve made, and consistency which will appeal to players.
  24. Think there’s a very high chance that final game it’s 66 / 66 / 66 / 66 / 65
