Imagine if employment contracts were like this. Just casually telling your employer how much you should earn and them having to stump it up or sell you/release you on a free to a rival firm. Transfer Deadline Day at the end of the financial year, with Jasmine eyeing up a switch from Aldi to Lidl.

Imagine having a season ticket. You’d have spent more time at home after walking out than still at the matches.

The reality is the modern day football fan is very different to the same of years ago. There are a number of reasons for that: 1. KO timings/Sky running the show 2. Ticket pricing 3. General cost of living and affording the ‘day’ as well as the ticket 4. Desperation to turn football into an Americanised sporting performance 5. Constant fucking with the rules, addition of VAR etc. 6. Players becoming ‘influencers’ rather than sporting professionals It’ll only get worse from here sadly. A family of 4 buying merchandise, sitting in soft seats, producing content online offer a lot more to clubs than 20 year old Wayne and his 3 mates who get pissed in the pub beforehand.

Euthanasia for anyone 31 years or older trying to enter SJP, it’s the only way to get chants going!

Mad that they actually think this

Has a team ever conceded 5 or more goals in 4 consecutive home games before?

That’s the other thing you can almost guarantee, Mainoo will end up going despite showing nothing more than being average. The media are desperate to pick him.

I agree. 6th/7th was just emphasising I’d probably expect Southgate to play his purples out of position rather than putting someone like him in. I was messing around trying to predict what Southgate would do and it took a long time to even recognise Bowen could be an option.

You’ve gotta feel for players like Bowen. Ordinarily he’d have every chance of playing regularly for England but he’s probably about 6th or 7th choice because of the embarrassment of attacking riches we have.
-
Pretty incredible he didn’t start any of those 3 in a Euros Final, opting to play Sterling, Phillips and Mason fucking Mount.
-
So they’ve lost “4 in a row” and have Leicester, Southampton and a resurgent QPR up next? They’ve got quite a tough run in with Leeds and West Brom both away to play among others. Unless they stop the rot they could end up in bother.

Nailed on. Gordon over performing Grealish on every metric this season in a worse team, but you know full well he’ll do it.

Would be great for Spurs to collapse after the massive media wankfest over “Ange”.

It’s fairly clear at this stage the trigger is appearance or minute based and we’ve got no intention of triggering it.
