That's an.. interesting lineup. Feel like there'll be a lot of responsibility in that midfield for Tonali, though Miley will be able to be a right-sided mid in possession at times. Not sure where the goals are but not entirely against the experiment. We're through regardless, so maybe Eddie sees this as a bit of a free hit?

#1 Putting talent and leading us to a cup aside, what's special about Bruno and elevates him for me is how much he cares while not being from here. I genuinely believe he wants to cheer, cry, scream and pull his fucking hair out at situations that, we as fans, want to do so as well. I've never really experienced that to the same level with another player. Special mention to just how damn hard he tries. We know he isn't the most blessed athletically, but I will repeat what I've said in the past: he does not stop trying, ever. Most distance covered in 2023/2024 & 2024/2025? Our captain! I love him to bits tbh.

I don't want Eddie gone either but saying he's not been given the players he needs is a bit of a wild take. Didn't we spend 200mil in the summer on players wherein he was essentially manager & acting DoF? Or do you feel that the players were forced upon us due to desparation?

You put Elanga in West Ham's side and he'll succeed. He's at least showing a lil promise since returning from injury. I think he really needs a goal or assist so he can settle down a bit.

There will be no permanent uptick in form. He had a purple patch when he joined because he was motivated to prove himself after Everton and was in something new and exciting. For all the guff about mentality, he has perhaps the worst (?) out of anyone on our team ironically. I'm of the opinion we cash in while he's still worth a tidy profit. He'll probs light it up in a new spot for a bit with renewed vigour but I'm not overly invested in keeping him around.

The first and second questions have been asked and answered already. Gordon does not want to play on the right and Barnes is willing to do what it takes for the team. On long range shooting it was said that we want more of it, for e.g. from Tonali, but that he's not sure why there's less of it.

All the contrivance about his future is almost irrelevant at this very point. However we're entering a really rough stretch of difficult away games. By the end of it we'll know where the chips have fallen. Here's hoping we can change our fortunes.
