Eddie Howe: watched the Man Utd game in hospital (Tindall)

Damned if he did, damned if he didn't We are where we are What will be will be That's my take in a nutshell Nothing more to see here -
I'm wondering now if maybe his attitude to not wanting fitness staff getting involved in his routines had any part to play? Possibly fidnt go down too well if it was forced upon him and he didn't align with the England view?

If we beat the Dutch we will win the tournament on pens

Yeah was lucky deflection into his path. Like I said, they are no mugs but we handled them well -

Never felt like they would score. They had the odd period of pressure but we handled it well -
People who get over emotional over pundits and commentators they don't like

Actually not a Southgate supporter but I reckon he actually got that right. Hard to watch at times but Switzerland are no mugs. We controlled the game really, yes with not doing much going forward but we really limited them. -

Everyone want goals, goals, goals but for me the football version of chess draws me in, strategy, position, instruction...beautiful Just to add. The deftness and angle of touch to change the shape of the field when you have this type of player...if it doesn't work, it doesn't work but when it does it doesn't need goals to appreciate it -

Yep but surely if a player was a pep player it's him. I mean watching him you can see why I'm predicting the future...? -

Loved Rafa but the whole club was a mess at the time. Not surprised he got out so soon. I'd have him back in an instant though

May be commenting without all the facts but was Demirals not political and Bellingham wasn't?

Good game. Defying expectations by being a scrappy battle -

Inconsistent. That's what frustrates me. Dutch goal should have stood also. Silly referee consultant on ITV saying its cos Morita moved? Like the Dutch player would have had a chance in hell of moving with the power and proximity of the shot -
Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Personally I won't be wetting the bed over this. I'm sure he's talented but maybe it's a case of Howe not seeing enough in him to suit his way of playing. -

I've been a staunch defender of Southgate in the past but so far it's indefensible. The players he is using are used to high energy pressing for most part. He has to realise that sitting back and being passive is not what they are used to. The balance is all wrong. The system he is playing needs a pivot, Rice is not that, Wharton is. He has to have the balls to do it and drop Bellingham deep, play Foden 10 and put Gordon in. Eze is not a wide man. His changes today were borderline pathetic and predictable...im sure I'm repeating what has already been said but surely that cannot be defended -

I'd be livid if it was against us but the touch on the hand probably does help him control it into his path -

No that's a weird take. He's a great player but he needs someone to find him in the spaces he finds. England don't have that -

Rodri is the main reason he excels at City. -

Foden is elite when he plays with Rodri...England don't have Rodri. Just poor from Southgate to not get this
