Can't even get a solid 45 minutes of football here to distract me from the PSR shite -

On the one hand it's kind of patronising from the club, but on the other when you see the clip of some of the takes (mostly elsewhere) about selling Minteh in the first place you realise it was probably needed. -
Aye, and would get even better under Howe.
-
Looks like it would be engineered for PSR value rather than an actual straight swap
-
Shame about the context underlying all of this but Elanga is no doubt a very exciting player.
-
Doesn't Liverpool have several actual Tier 1 reporters? Going to choose not to believe this until one of them reports on it. I hope the Elanga link is true though - think he's underrated and had a great season.

It might also have an impact on players choosing to come here over other clubs. Players persumably want to join a club with stability and dropping points because you broke the rules (no matter how idiotic and unfair the rules are) would signal the opposite of stability. -

I also get the feeling that if we got a small points deduction it wouldn't be the end of it as far as negative consequences go. The cartel would come after us even more aggressively and use the points deduction as evidence that we are bad faith actors who have no intention of playing by the rules and find other ways to get at us. Suspect this is why we've been so reluctant to get involved in challenging PSR/FFP. -
Sky Six cartel actually suceeded in keeping us down if this happens cos of PSR
-
I reckon it must be. No one else who has been under the cosh seems to be struggling as much as us - then again could all change by Sunday if we get one or two out of the door for a decent amount. It definitely can't be helping us though.

£40m seems rather reasonable compared to stupid prices quoted for other options.

Lyon's transfer record is €25m apparently: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/olympique-lyon/transferrekorde/verein/1041 There is zero chance of them bidding £40m for anyone let alone a youth prospect. -
Good point. Thought it was Hope on his todd
-
The worrying thing is this leaking from our side. I'm assuming someone from the club informed Hope as it's unlikely he has sources on the Chelsea side. Why would we do that?

From this it appears the only reason we are selling him is because we absolutely need to bring money onto the books in order to satisfy PSR by the end of the month and can't line up sales of any senior or unwanted players. Very frustrating but helps us understand that the idiotic rules are to blame rather than the club, who seem to have tried exhausting all the other options. I wonder if we were betting on getting into Europe in some form and how much of a difference that would have made even if it was Conference League. -
Very strange one like. Craig Hope reporting that Anderson wants to stay but presumably he would have been consulted before being offered to Wolves otherwise pointless trying to put that deal together in the first place? Percy is Ornstein levels of reliable for Midlands clubs so the offer probably was made. Kilman is class but presumably we would only need another LCB if someone else was leaving in that position.

Chiesa going down injured is the surest sign yet that he's joining us -
I think that site might be AI-generated. There's another article on there from today calling Enzo Maresca a Chelsea youth player: https://sportmedia1.co.uk/?p=7718
