Aye, same. Started out questionable Italian sources reporting it, then reliable Italian sources and now quite a few local sources here. Feels like the momentum is definitely there for this to start moving seriously.

Fiorentina signing a new RW?
-
Honestly prefer our window so far despite having really only signed Kelly (and Hall I suppose) for the first team.

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/huijsen-juventus-calciomercato-news-24-luglio-2024 Huijsen who we've been tenuously linked to earlier in the window apparently waiting for better offers than Stuttgart and Bournemouth.

The last news I can find about it is from September last year saying Fiorentina rejected a bid for him in the summer and he signed a new contract with them.
-
Brentford tried to buy him for €42/43m last summer according to Romano. Guessing we're going to be paying a chunk more than that as Fiorentina rejected it.

So seems like the origin of the Gonzalez story is La Nazione, which is the big local paper in Florence. Usually a good omen. First to report Isak deal out of nowhere was a local paper in San Sebastian iirc.

From what I've seen since we started being linked they seem not to rate him too highly, but Everton fans didn't think much of Gordon when he played for them so I don't put much stock in it.

So about £34m rounded up. If we truly are interested in him being a longterm Schar replacement then 40m euros structured as 35 + 5 seems like a good deal.

Di Marzio is pretty reliable for Milan isn't he? Wonder if this was one of the targets Mitchell was working on before he officially joined us.

Couldn't find anyone else mentioning it on Twitter or Google recently, so probably conjured through some form of scatomancy

Some scouting job like if he was in the Serbian 2nd division and turns out to be a gem.
-
In Howespeak that means three marquee signings being announced tomorrow
-
Clamming for an interview with him like

On the video it links to Romano says we enquired a few days ago but Bayern and Leipzig leading the race.

Sounds like exactly what we need and has a top CV. Great appointment and one of the hopefully many doors having Mitchell as sporting director will unlock.
