  1. Very likely zero. Maybe we should take note of that.
  2. You can't drag Spurs to 17th after a 38 game season and expect to keep your job. Even with an EL trophy.
  3. What have you got against right wingers? We need one this summer.
  4. Problem is Wilson is past it and Osula isn't ready to be 2nd choice, at least in Eddie's view. So we need to bring in a good back up to Isak. If we stick with Wilson, you could only put that down to deluded stubbornness on Eddie's part.
  5. True, but did we even seriously consider them? I bloody hope so.
  6. Lot of copium going about in here but moves like extending Wilson's contract scream inability/unwillingness to be ruthless in the transfer market to me. I hope (based on no evidence) that we're aggressively chasing free and low cost deals as a priority, to replace the Wilsons of this world, then some purples to strengthen the first XI. The thing with a Jonathon David or Angel Gomes, you can go on about whether they're a perfect fit or how their wages are high, but in a PSR world I struggle to see how signing a good player for free is bad. The day after you sign them you have a 30m player you didn't have yesterday. I'm concerned Eddie doesn't have an elite attitude towards transfers. Get the pitchforks out, I said it.

    João Pedro

I don't like this signing. Not convinced he's good enough and he'd cost an arm and a leg. Time to get him if at all was pre-Brighton.
  8. If Eddie now has the transfer reigns and this is his attitude, maybe he has some juicy signings up his sleeve.
  9. Of course they are. If Mbueueeuoiumo goes there's he's a dilbry. I'm biased but I'd snap your arm off to join Newcastle for 100k a week plus, wouldn't matter if Man U were offering double. You're set for life even on 100.
  10. We're gonna monitor so many players this summer.
  11. I'll be in a minority here but I'm honestly not super confident about this window. Hopeful, but not confident. There's a good chance we'll make some good moves, but equally, I think there's reason for concern. Backroom staff upheaval, some potentially dubious inclinations from Eddie to hang on to certain players and not really want cheap foreign prospects, our apparent indifference towards pillaging the free agent market, last summer's 3 month Guehi pursuit while ignoring Huijsen and co. Again, not saying it'll be a bad window this time around too. But equally, as highly as I regard Eddie and others at the club, they're human and very capable of having major blind spots. I'm nervous is all. We have to be very smart and very aggressive with transfers given how PSR is constantly trying to screw us, and I'm just not convinced we've been that way the last few windows. I guess we'll see how the summer pans out.
  12. Apart from all the clubs and players that have already made moves.
  13. Annoyingly predictable. Weren't there sources saying he'd decided on the Premier League? Let's just get Trafford and be done with it.
  14. Also Garcia sounds exactly like the kind of signing we should be making. Slightly under the radar, very good value (seemingly), right age, high ceiling etc. Trafford would be good but this guy is my preference. Wonder how Pope would take being no. 2? I guess with all our games next season our back ups will get plenty of minutes.
  15. Tbh I wouldn't blame Guehi for running his contract down. Gets a season with Palace in the Europa which should be fun, then a big new contract at his next club. Hopefully if we go for him this summer though it's for something under 40 odd million.
  16. I mean I'm a pessimist and even I struggle to consider us being on a constrained budget yet again. Surely we have enough money to have a good summer this time.
  17. Not to mention it's very possible the overall financials aren't actually particularly cheap, and Eddie plans to maybe use him as second choice to Isak again. That's worst case scenario admittedly but we just don't know at this point.
  18. Some differing views on AG but I think it's hard to deny his attitude and mentality have looked off for most of the season. Which is interesting given he reads a lot of books etc on mentality. I think there's a really good player/lad in there, and hopefully after a rest and refresh he comes back better next season. But if his head/heart isn't in it, for whatever reason, I'd sell for a good offer.
  19. It's stuff like this that makes me doubt the club has an elite mentality quite yet. We simply have to be aggressive with our outgoings and incomings if we want to really establish ourselves among the top clubs. Sentimentality is only so useful.

    Scott McTominay

He'd cost an arm and a leg now.
  21. Semi unrelated but my wife heard Milenkovic being discussed on MNF and exclaimed, "my lengthy itch?"
  22. They'd want too much money and his wages would be too high for what he'd likely offer us based on his performances for MU.
  23. Tammy Abraham, Isak and Jacob. Make it happen.
  24. I think technically he's just a bit limited, which stops him being a top top player. Very good on his day though.
