I find all this criticism of the nephew to be pretty mean spirited. By all accounts he was heavily involved in some of our best signings, and is assumed to be at fault because he’s related to Eddie and other teams have been financially blowing us out of the water. it reminds me of when Hughes at Bournemouth was linked here as DOF and people were like: oh look, another one of Howes hopeless mates. now he’s at Liverpool and running the game.

Even if there was, the optics of Liverpool taking our best player and us giving them some of their money back for their sitter missing flop is just too horrific to contemplate seriously.
