What a downbeat assessment. Get a striker and we are gonna be formidable.

Ah cmon man, battered by Salah, give over.

There’s caveats, but given everything that’s happened it’s a hugely encouraging point. Wissa and its three. They are no mugs, to limit them to so few chances away is great, defended really well .

We just need a chance to fall to Barnes.

Do we reckon Gordon would be back on penalties while Alexander The Sulk watches on from his tower of solitude? -
I’ve listened to a few Villa podcast about it. Generally they are trying to sell it to themselves as a good deal, and something they have to do, but there are clearly misgivings there, especially if he were to recapture his form with us.

Wissa is out of the Brentford squad for the weekend because of an “unsettling summer”, it’s an eerie parallel with another well known situation, Harry Kane I think it was.

I say it all the time, there’s a sizeable portion of online fans who’d almost always rather take a punt on a foreign player than back a less glamorous sure thing. I’m not entirely against it but in this situation we need guaranteed goals, now.

Yeah, he didn’t get much, but he didn’t do anything with what he got either, and was comfortably pocketed by every side we faced. Look, I’d love to be wrong about him, I just can’t see it and so far, neither can Eddie. -

Osula has no chance of starting. I think he had to show something in preseason and… -
Each to their own I guess! It’s a great fit as a commercial partnership though.

Not to be that guy, but if you haven’t had Guinness in Ireland then you haven’t really had it. if you’ve tried it in Ireland and still don’t like it, then you’re just wrong. its also the coolest looking beer by a distance. Black and white, creamy goodness, what’s not to like?

I mean everyone on here (and every other fan forum) is desperate for the next embedded tweet in the transfer rumours thread. If we were on the right side of these deals I don’t think anyone would be as aggravated by post frequency and if you are, you can choose to just log off for a bit. I took a total break for a week and came back to Elanga done and Longstaff off. Felt good. Can’t wait for the window to be over.

Yeah I think the Ornstein hate is, if we’re honest, because he’s consistently telling us stuff we don’t want to hear.

Hojlund as a replacement for Isak? That’s as a big a downgrade as we could make now Calvert Lewin is off the market.
-
This was my impression too, couldn’t believe his goal tally when I saw it.

Debatable, but even so that’s not the metric we should be looking at.

He plays for Leicester city. Looked good in a dire team. Probably the best of the relegated players after Delap. videos can make most players look unplayable. He’s definitely playable. But he is skillful, very different from what we have and I’d even rather him than Paqueta.
