This. We have zero chance of buying a decent striker from the Premier League at this stage. We need to take a punt on a striker in Europe (Openda and Emegha would be ideal). Emegha might be complicated by the fact he plays for Strasbourg, a BlueCo group club, so we'd be essentially negotiating with Chelsea who are no doubt hoping to sign him on the cheap later down the line.

I think normally they would sack him in the International break, but out of pride the board might wait it out a bit longer as they don't want to be seen committing the exact same mistake as they did with ETH i.e. backing him heavily in the summer for them to only go and sack him a few games into the season
