  1. Well if Isak was close to leaving I'd imagine we wouldn't have walked away from the Ekitike deal so quickly
  2. £120m gets you James Trafford and Nicolas Jackson at today's prices WE ARE NOT SELLING Isak this window, even if he puts in a transfer request, it'll be blocked. Harry Kane wanted to leave Spurs for years, but Levy was able to block a move in several windows due to him being on such a lengthy contract. I see a similar scenario playing out here. If that wasn't blindingly obvious, then Liverpool wouldn't have been so quick in spunking €100m on Ekitike. Isak will leave next summer.
  3. Everyone needs to calm down. The last week has been a rollercoaster, the constant speculation and media pressure has been relentless. Can imagine it's been unsettling for Isak who just needs a moment to take a deep breath, as do we as a fanbase. Most likely scenario is that Isak signs a fat new 250k a week contract with a release clause and a gentleman's agreement that we'll allow him to move on next summer. I just don't envisage the club being open to offers this summer considering how brutal the market is right now for strikers. Nicolas Jackson anyone? We're struggling as it is to secure another striker, never mind buying two if Isak left. Even if Isak puts in a transfer request, the club will continue to block a move, I simply can't envisage a scenario in which he leaves this summer. I'm 100% convinced he'll be gone next summer mind
  4. I feel like Lois Openda at Leipzig would be far better suited to the Premier League than Sesko. He'd also be considerably cheaper. Worth a bid I say, could see him being able to link up well with Isak. Rumours of Inter Milan bidding €35m for him as things stand
  5. Happy that the Ekitike to Liverpool transfer is progressing fast. Means Isak won't be unsettled once the season starts next month. Worst case scenario would have been Liverpool still wanting him in August. Despite all the transfer rejections so far, I'm happy with how the club have acted. Can't fault them for being super ambitious this window
  6. Selling Isak next summer makes far more sense. They'd likely be more viable suitors, meaning a bidding war would allow us to still bank north of £100m+. Ideally we'd also be able to sell him abroad as well, and not to any of the insufferable septic 6
  7. No one has really mentioned this as an option. Liverpool could just be bluffing their interest in Ekitike to put pressure on us and Isak. If Isak is for sale next summer (which is the most realistic option tbh) are Liverpool really going to splash €100m now on an unproven PL striker they'd ideally want to replace next summer? I have my doubts
  8. Sounds like we've told Liverpool to fuck off regarding Isak, according to Edwards and Keith Downie. Probably means we're now priced out of the Ekitike deal though. Who do you think is next on the list for us now that we've missed out on Pedro and Ekitike?
  9. Prescriptions for Deludamol are through the roof in the Manchester area.
  10. Schalke's collapse from CL semi-finalists to relegation will take some beating
  11. This. Improving atmosphere in the new stadium would be easy. Make tickets more accessible for younger fans ( a standing section for 16-25 year olds for instance) and get like minded fans together, for example an all standing Gallowgate Wall where it should be generally known that this is where fans will be chanting and standing for the 90 minutes. If that's not your cup of tea you can politely fuck off to the Sir Bobby Robson stand where you can enjoy the match in silence with the rest of the East Stand pensioners
  12. People leaving at 4-2 and 4-3 should get their season ticket revoked. I'm all for a new stadium so long as the club listens to fans and gets like-minded fans together in the stadium. This is our chance to create the Gallowgate Wall.
  13. This. German football stadiums are great for this. The whole gallowgate should be safe standing and if you buy a ticket there it should be known that this is the "standing/singing" section. If that's not your cup of tea then you should look to buy a ticket in another section. Such a policy would really help getting like-minded supporters seated together, which just isn't happening right now ( try starting a chant in the leazes). Realistically nothing will be done until the stadium question is resolved
