Not the best day for our future opponents Ten Hag's Leverkusen surrendered a 3-1 lead to draw against 10 man Werder Bremen PSV lost 2-0 at home to newly promoted minnows Telstar.

I think this performance proved that we absolutely cannot afford to sell Isak without getting a number 9 through the door.

Been lurking on the Uefa website the last 2 hours. This is torture

Insane deal for Chelsea if it goes through. Crazy that Liverpool fans haven't cottoned on that, yes, in this striker market £110m for Isak is indeed a lowball offer.

They are god damn awful

Wilson scored 0 Prem goals last season, so if they contribute 23 goals or more together, then that should be seen as progress.

Anyone any idea what time fixture dates and times will be released today?

Marseille is definitely top of my list for a football weekend trip, just not as an opposing fan! French police also seem to be the worst in Europe for crowd control, they always seem desperate to bring out the tear gas

Won't miss this cunt's injury record tbh. He also doesn't strike me as the type of player who'll be very durable in his 30s. Nothing would make me happier than to see him be a £135m crock at Liverpool . Pretty much guaranteed to miss 10 games a season through injury + he hasn't had a pre season so will be nowhere near match fit

Thinking ahead, where do you think the fanzone would be for the Leverkusen game? In Düsseldorf or Köln? Still undecided as to where to book a room tomorrow Both cities are a 15 minute train ride to Leverkusen

Yeah, shame we couldn't have had a return fixture in Bilbao. That would have been one hell of an away day!

As things stand, I don't think we'll go for Strand Larsen anymore. So it all comes down to Yoanne Wissa essentially. If he comes we'll sell Isak. If he doesn't, then we'll keep Isak and reassess in January. That's what it'll come down to in the last 3 days, unless the club surprises us with another leftfield option, like they have with Woltemade. Sorry socusers, but it would be utter madness to go into the season with Woltemade as our only striker when we'll be playing 50+ games. He's not even a typical number 9 anyway.

Love it, added bonus is being able to drink some delicious German beer in your seat as well. Big fan of the Bundesliga match day experience. Vfl Bochum, FC Köln and Dortmund were my favourite clubs from the small pool of German games I've been to.

I heard someone saying that he'd flown in tonight because the club are desperate to have him registered in time for Leeds. Any update on this? Would be incredible to have him already this Saturday

The beauty of German football. So long as you don't act like an absolute wanker or are sitting with the ultras, the home fans don't bat an eyelid if there are opposing fans sitting in the home sections. Case in point, I once went to Gladbach vs FC Köln, which is a fierce rivalry, and there were many FC Köln fans sitting around us and there was no aggro at all.

Bilbao is a rough draw considering some of the absolute tosh in pot 4
