  1. In essence what you’re saying is if the EPL is breaking the law with anti competitive behaviour, there own rules supersedes law ? Again, competition rules supersede law. That’s remarkable, and i would be astonished if the Saudis went into buying the club knowing that is indeed the case, where they have basically zero chance of being able to compete. What is the repercussions if Newcastle went fuck it, where suing you anyway. Yes they would fall foul of breaking the rules , but i would imagine the ramifications for the EPL would be far greater if found guilty of anti competitive behaviour. Or is my limited knowledge of the law fanciful.
  2. Any Lawyers on here, is an anti-competitive lawsuit an option ? Any of you who follow F1 may have seen the case where the FIA welcomed the Andretti Team into F1, but the owners of F1 didn't give them the go ahead, mainly driven by other F1 Teams who argued the prizemoney would be diluted if an 11th Team, Andretti, came in. However Andretti’s rejection was brought to the attention of US politicians who invited Mario Andretti to Capitol Hill ahead of the Miami Grand Prix in May, and sparked a Department of Justice investigation into the matter. Boom, u turn and Andretti will enter in 2026 under the Cadillac name. The way things currently stand Newcastle will never reach the level of the Cartel 6 the way the rules are currently written. So i think there only option is something akin to what Andretti did above, bring it to the attention of the Legal gurus for anti competitive behaviour. Lawyers out there, thoughts ?

  7. And the one question mark hanging over Pep’s head is he’s only ever managed great teams. If he took a team that hasn’t won anything since The Monkeys and Star Trek made there debuts on TV, that would cement his legacy as a manager.
