It’s all complete bollox. I would prefer a rule where if the ball hits the arm/hand of a defender in the box , it’s a penalty. Full stop. Would this be unfair sometimes? Yes, but I’d accept that for consistency. Likewise, a defender grabs a shirt in the box, penalty. I see it happened again to Wolt against Arsenal. This would never be unfair IMO.

Best team on the day won. But today I realised I don’t understand the rules of the game. A clearer penalty than that hand ball, I cannot remember. I hope Tino’s OK - the wheels came off when he got injured.

This is the attitude that is screwing VAR, game after game. The tech is great, it’s the dickheads watching it who leave too much to interpretation.

True. In yesterday’s game he failed to control a simple ball on the touchline and it ran out for a throw in. He started complaining cos the ball wasn’t played to him more on the inside. He was stationary and not even attempting a run. Comical, ‘never my fault’ attitude.

Not me. But I’m not going to praise him for playing badly. I’ve seen him misplace a lot of passes tonight. I think he’s got massive potential but is off form at the moment.

Someone who’s ‘hands on’, has a lot of experience at different jobs in football and, most importantly, is very well connected so can pick up the phone and speak to the top agents, etc.
