He’s basically been sidelined by the other one we brought in during the summer. The other one sorts out all the overseas dealings. Apparently, Speakman’s only signing in the summer was Adingra - who hasn’t worked out. Speakman has been great for us, but no point in keeping him on if we’re going to focus more on the overseas market.

Championship usually has these type of end to end games. Be suicide trying that at premier league level though.

I agree that the signings we have made won’t really get into your team week in, week out - bar the keeper. Maybe a couple of the defenders, Xhaka & Brobbey would be bench players for you. The main thing is though your recruitment has been really poor from the summer. Thiaw aside I don’t think any new signings have done well for you - Wissa’s been injured I suppose but the rest look poor from what I’ve seen.

Low block, lot of effort off the ball, soak up the pressure and counter, and use a striker up front who can hold it up with runners off him. It’s similar to Forest under Nuno. It’s working well so far.

The narrative does change a bit as the season goes on I’ve noticed. ”Beat Derby’s record” ”Rock bottom.” ”Played no one good yet.” ”Momentum will run out.” ”They’ll lose all games during AFCON.” Now it’s “…well, next season will be tougher.” I’ve seen a few say we’ll likely lose some of the squad and manager, but it won’t be decimated. We’ll lose one, maybe two starters from our team imo (likely Sadiki & Roefs), but the money them two will bring in will be our two record sales. They were bought for around £20m and £12m retrospectively, and signed long term deals. If someone wants to whack down £45m each for the pair then they can crack on. That money will likely be reinvested and we’ve probably identified targets already. The manager won’t leave until part way through next season if anytime imo. He seems very well settled and has funds here. I reckon 10th for us this season and then probably 12th the season after. Become a North East Fulham for the next few years most likely.

Not sure. I wasn’t one of them. Think it’s a bit pathetic from both sides to be shouting abuse at each other when walking to a game. Wind each other up in the stadium by all means though.
