Just an admission some got it wrong, all part of the fun mate.
-
Good solid result today, was needed with the games coming up. Done well to beat Derby record low & Southampton’s points tally after 8 games I suppose. Considering a few on here thought we’d be getting below that. Long way to go but we look very resilient at home.
-
His save from Fernandes was much better than the one from Amad.
-
If we do beat Wolves, does that mean we probably will win again before Xmas?
-
It’s not just mackems though, I’ve seen him go mental at Newcastle fans on here who disagree with him. It’s entertaining mind, I’ll give him that.
-
He’s a very angry individual mind, I’m not surprised he’s got himself a ban.
-
I watched the game and was impressed with him for the most part. Think he just had a rush of blood at the end when trying to kick it, and then was very weak for their winner. Has he been your number 1 this season? I assumed Ramsdale would have been.
-
It was more tongue in cheek mate, but I do agree. Much better start than I thought though, regardless of the fixture list.
-
Not that impressed with the other premier league teams so far mind…
-
I’m not a Leeds fan. Sorry for the confusion x
-
Can I ask what’s the thinking behind that? Is it to give the other 17 (or 14 of the 17 in your scenario) a reality check of the financial gap? Think it’s also harsh on Leeds to call them inbreds, but fair enough.
-
Off the ball I think he’s been good. I like his pace and power. It’s in possession where I think he’s a bit erratic and tends to give it away from what I remember. Yeah, Rigg or Le Fee to come in or a formation change.
-
He’s been pretty poor so far in all honesty. Still be a big miss for his physicality though.
-
If 36 points get rock bottom then it’s a mad season.
-
No one knows what to make of us really. Or Leeds. Or Burnley. The three sides promoted last season are making much more of a fight of it compared to the last couple of years.
-
I was expecting Villa to really take the initiative when we went down to 10 men, but they just didn’t. They were still very slow in the build up and allowed us to get back. Cant see Emery lasting much longer if that’s how they usually play.
-
Good research there tbf. I’m not sure of myself at all mind, just making the comparison between our first 4 games and Ipswich’s & Luton’s, which is what the original post referred to.
-
Not all of them will be away for the full tournament mind. Some will be back fairly quick. Can’t see Mozambique doing well at the AFCON for example.
-
Agree it’s too early to say for certain, but I’m not seeing your point about Luton and Ipswich. Luton after 4 games had 0 points Ipswich after 4 games had 2 points I think it took both sides around 12 games to get to the 7 point mark.
-
Yeah, there’s an actual battle for survival this year. I said all summer that the three new sides this season will put up much more of a fight than the newly promoted teams have from the last 2 years.
-
Thing is that’s usually the case for a fair few promoted sides. Problems going forward. You look at this season so far and you have us on 5 goals, Burnley on 4 & Leeds on 1 (just a penalty). I reckon we may stop up this year because of how much we’ve went for it. There are a fair few teams in this league who have taken survival as a given because of how bad the promoted teams used to be. It’s caught up to the likes of Wolves and West Ham now I think.
-
Well, yeah. Every promoted club seems to be in and around the bottom 3 come end of the season. It’s the reality of the gap between prem and championship.
-
Is it really classed as a relegation game? I don’t think Palace will be anywhere near down there.
-
Areet lads? I’ve been out all night. What have I missed?
