Ramos is definitely the best defender they have at the club. A good performance by Guti today as well. Always was a quality player but never could produce it on a consistent basis. Henry has passed the ball and realised noone is in the box so instead he has tried to wrap his leg around the keeper and flung himself to the floor. Absolute joke of a penalty. It is clear to anyone who has watched it that although the pass was misplaced their is nothing Henry can do to get out of the way of the keeper who comes sliding out. No doubt the ref viewed it as the Keeper having rushed out, slid into the player, made contact however minimal, and most importantly, missed the ball completely. ohmelads Posted September 3, 2007 Share Posted September 3, 2007 You can't trip someone over with your face. The keeper has taken a kick in the face and if anything Henry has fouled the keeper. If this had happened at the other end of the field Barcelona would have been livid. The camera behind the goal shows perfectly clearly that the only contact is between Henry's boot and the keeper's face.
