Benny Benitez: Parky 6 Benny 2 (Benitez watch.). Inter sack the waiter.

Looking at the games left in Group A there is a strong chance Liv aren't going to make it out of their group.

now that would be a shame

I thought you'd be gutted Parky. He'll get the sack, Allardyce won't last much longer and Newcastle was one of the clubs mentioned (along with Bayern Munich and England) by Benitez' mate Guillem Ballague on Revista de la Liga last nite.  :parky:

At least you'd only have to suffer Alan Smith every other game.

its all been a bit hysterical hasnt it. Rafa wont get sacked over this. i think the real crux of the problem seems to be a falling out between Hicks and Gillett, with Hicks likely to sell his share of the club. but Rafa will get huge support tonight at the ground, the place will be absolutely rocking. Its been a long time since a manager at Anfield has been thought of so highly by the fans. shoudl be a good night at Anfield tonight. if they sacked Rafa i dont think the owners would bve safe inside Anfield, and the last thing we need is that mouthpiece Mourinho taking charge.

i dont think he is. most of Mourinhos buys at Chelsea flopped. he did well at Porto, but Rafa had an excellent record in Spain, and in Europe. Rafa had a much bigger job at Liverpool than Mourinho had at Chelsea, and Rafa hasnt had teh funds Mourinho had. we've underachieved in the league i think, but we have been to 2 European Cup finals in 3 seasons, and that was the reason on 2 occasions we tailed off in the league. Rafa will get it right at Liverpool, we havent lost a league game in 6 months, despite missing key players for large parts of that, in Agger and Alonso especially, and when we click, as we have done a few times this season, we are as good as anyone in this league. We'll be there or thereabouts this season, although we could do with more cover at Centre back and a decent right winger. having Kewel back is a big boost if he can stay fit, and Babel looks like he could be amazing, while Torres is top class.

CL is rigged.

However Babel was a gamble that he impressed me with.

whats your honest opinion of Big Sam?

do you think he'll have a job after the next 2 games?

Percentage football. Big job. Sections of the support without patience. Not enough money on the table from the board. Given time will build a difficult side to beat, occassional big scalp top 6 stuff. Over analytical missing factor 'x'...Understands the game but lacks vision. Modus operandi is to fix the club top to bottom will need two years. Should be given the 2 years and money. Then bring in the next level of manager who can challenge for top 4 consistently. I wouldn't sack him unless we were in relegation battle which we won't be. Review in summer at the very least.

Yes he will be in a job unless we've lined up a top tier manager (not Benny).

if he understands the game, why did he take 3 left footed players off on saturday and replace them with 3 right footed players, so that Rafathrew on babel who had a field day.

why was he trying to consolidate a 3-0 defeat at home by going all defensive. even under Souness and Roeder, you would always give us game. you lot were pitiful on saturday. we never realy got out of first gear, and only Torres had an off day, we could have scored 6 or 7, and thats being kind. the most worrying thing for you lot, is the team had no fight. i watched it on telly after i got back home from the match, and your players came out from the half time break looking defeated.
