Why does everyone want owen out. The money's been paid, he says he's commited. Why on earth should we go -7m. The lads mustard.

Because he's played 20 league games & only scored 9 league goals in two & half years.

agreed!

True, but he missed around 50 of his first 76 league games to genuine long-term injuries.

United tracking Turkish Wayne Rooney

Target ... Arda Turan

NEWCASTLE are tracking Turkey's equivalent of Wayne Rooney - but face compeition for his signature from North East rivals Middlesbrough.

Galatasaray's attacking midfielder Arda Turan has reportedly attracted scouts from across the continent to Istanbul to check out his impressive form.

But the Premiership is likely to be the 20-year-old's destination.

He is regarded as Turkey's brightest new talent and Istanbul press speculation says he has attracted interest from several Premiership clubs - with Newcastle and Middlesbrough touted as the favourites to sign him.

Lassana Diarra, expressed his desire to leave Arsenal today as he says they don't want him, seems a bit of a character but obviously a very good player, better than what we have.

Butt has his moments but I think Diarra would consistently provide us with a better platform.

NEC Nijmegen have revealed that they are willing to allow Jonas Olsson to leave "at a good offer."

Although there hasn't been an official approach for the defender there are several clubs eyeing the performances of the 24-year-old.

Newcastle and Ipswich are among the English teams watching developments closely and the club could be tempted to sell if a good offer comes in.

"Jonas has gone through a great development, that's why the interest doesn't surprise me," says technical director Carlos Aalbers in Voetbal International.

"He still has got a contract until 2009, so we are only open for an in between leave at a good offer."
