Terry MacDermott was an absolutely brilliant player for us.

Why would you be surprised he has a sizeable section?

No surprise that he has a section, just that nobody else has a section, or it they do its like a small area of a cabinet. Terry Mac has a whole huge fuckoff cabinet to himself.

Could it be that Terry has donated more stuff for display than others.

it seems strange that he gets slagged off by so many who dont know what goes on yet he's been kept there by every manager since keegan.

i agree. i seem to always slate him as well and then i think that he must be doing something right if he keeps being kept on!

He was indeed(made the best debut I've seen from a player of his age(21)joining us from a Lower div side(Bury) with the exception of Macdonald, and there was a slight difference in price - Terry Mac was 25,000 whereas Supermac was 180,000(a record at the time)... McDermott made his debut against Liverpool in 1972 at SJP and we won 2-1, although we were lucky but he was outstanding.

They obviously thought so and he did the same against them in the 74 Final, although he was the only player in the side to do justice to himself - the Scousers took him 'home' later that year for 170,000 and he won loads of medals there ; strangely, for a Merseysider, his heart DOES seem to lie at SJP, but its a bit strange that he should have such a showing in the museum - he only played for us(at his peak)for 2 years and returned to help us win promotion in 84...

It was strange because before Sam took over the managers who kept him on were  Keegan, Dogleash, Souness & Roeder & the two that didn't were Ruud & Bobby, the difference being Ruud & Bobby were never teammates with Terry.
