thomas
you dont think we're bigger than Blackburn? Right now, at this point in time, we would be a lateral move. If he is going to leave Blackburn this summer it's going to be for someone in European competition. Oh I forgot, bigger crowds, the first item on every players list when considering a move. La Parka
Santa Cruz would be a much better signing than Crouch. 39 games, 19 goals and 6 assists this season. He cost them 4 million or so? I reckon we could get him for 10-12m. How old is he? McCarthy has always impressed me. I like Santa Cruz but feel we should look elsewhere. 26 according to Wikipedia. So perfect age really. I see him as a perfect alternative to Viduka. Step across though isn't it? He would only go to a bigger club. you dont think we're bigger than Blackburn? Right now, at this point in time, we would be a lateral move. If he is going to leave Blackburn it's going to be for someone in European competition. Exactly. We are not bigger than blackburn with regards to recent form, if anything Blackburn have been slightly better performers over the last two years. Sure, we have more potential, their fan base is a joke, their ground isn't the best, they do however have a chairman who is fair loaded, but not on our scale etc. We are potentially bigger, but currently we really are not. Similar situation with us behind all of the top 4 and level with the rest down to spuds. Players moving between these clubs really doesn't achieve much. Well their wage bill is £37m, which is 85% of their wages to revenue ratio. They can't come close to competing with Newcastle in terms of money. I personally think that money is only one of many issues a footballer thinks of when choosing a Premier league club though.

Blackburn aren't even close to the top 30.
LooneyToonArmy
D'Allesandro is probably the best suggestion so far for an attacking player. Wouldn't cost bucket loads Premiership experianced Nice age Zaragoza are in trouble (i believe) plus they don`t even want him (which is why he was sent to River Plate) as he fell out with the coach. Might be able to get him for a bargain (similar circumstances to Ginola). I don`t think we could play him as an AMC though as he`s a bit lightweight. Either on the left or as a 2nd striker .He`d be cheaper than Zarate though. Or get Juan Arango of Real Mallorca

Baggio
I'd expect £££ isn't an issue at Blackburn Why not? They are a well run club, spend little and wisely. They spend little money because they've got little to spend, in fact I can remember when we were linked with Hughes after Allardyce was sacked and he came out in the press saying he can't be expected to keep finding players on a small budget, I think a decent size offer could tempt Hughes to sell if it gives his transfer funds a boost even if he does have to find a replacement for Santa Cruz, he'll more than likely push Derbyshire up to first team regular. Downing is underrated, quick as fook and with a definate goal threat. would need 12 mil to get him Dunne has been an absolute rock for City Crouch should be a priority this summer Dunne can buy out his contract in the summer, £1.5m, and can leave the Country. Crouch is in his last year, but isn't 28 so it doesn't apply to him, the fee's being talked about are £6m Downing is quite under rated by us since he's a smog, i'd take him as a replacement for Zoggy, not as good imo, but has much more end product than Zoggy, i mean fuking truck loads more. £12m fee to us sounds about right. I reckon though £4m for Dunne & £6-7m for Crouch would just about do it. Getting Lennon in for £4m and thats some bargain hunting. PS: I'd rather pay £4-8m for Lennon than £14-18m for Bentley. Dokko
I think City would rather keep Dunne and hope a good season next year could convince him to stay rather than sell him for £4 million tbh Depends on Tacky Sinatra really. If he's going to sack SGE then things become a little unstable again at Citeh, i think Dunne might decide his own fate if that happens. Also if a Euro club comes in and all they are going to get is £1.5m then i cannot see them refusing to make more money by allowing him to talk to prem clubs.
