Skeletor
NUFC.com Now, by our reckoning after Sunday's games the table should look like this: Pos Team P Y R Pts 1 Liverpool 38 46 1 49 2 Everton 38 40 3 49 3 Tottenham 38 52 1 55 4 Man United 38 51 2 57 5 Newcastle 38 59 1 62 6 Man City 38 51 4 63 7 Arsenal 38 54 3 63 8 Aston Villa 38 55 4 67 Given that the four teams above us are already in Europe does Richard Dunne's red card at the Smoggies mean we now qualify for the UEFA Cup? Has anyone told them it's about more than just yellow and red cards?

UpTheToon
from nufc.com... PS - Any notion of us pinching the Fair Play UEFA spot from Manchester City - after we moved ahead of them in the disciplinary table - can be discounted. The Fair Play table is compiled according various other factors, not just the yellow and red cards count.
Guest shaun11177
According to radio Fulham have this place.
Dave
The table hasn't been updated yet, so I don't know where they have that from. Could well happen, like.

ShearMagic
Yeah .com have just taken into account the cards. Fulham will have the place one would imagine.
Guest alex
8 yellow, 1 red for smithy, would have reduced our total to 37, putting us 3rd behind Everton and Liverpool f**k me HE DID COST US EUROPE Assuming whoever played in his place didn't pick up a single red or yellow card, which is unlikely. Legacy
How is it united and liverpool are so high on this table? They are forever hurling abuse and surrounding officals.. more than most clubs.
Guest Heneage
Smith's stupid red card against United really annoys me right now I blame the cunt of a ref, how many times do we see Rooney do far worse than that.

By the way I wasn't refering to yellow or red cards. You get points for how you act towards officals etc.
ShearMagic
Smith's stupid red card against United really annoys me right now It really wouldn't make a difference. We're down near the bottom, one red card isn't going to have a dramatic effect.

Dokko
I can see Duff going to Sunderland & Smith going to Boro solving our biggest headache of the summer. Shame Viduka got injured would have loved to offload him in the summer along with Emre.
Cajun
I think Viduka is worth keeping, we definitely need a replacement but he would be a valuable squad player.
junkhead
I think Viduka is worth keeping, we definitely need a replacement but he would be a valuable squad player. i agree, although it would be nice to pay 70k a week to somebody who can walk faster
Cajun
Problem is if they we worth £70k a week we would probably be also paying a rather large transfer fee.

Guest Mucky01
not sure how much truth in it, but my mate in Hull is saying that they’re all excited down there with Alan Smith being in discussions about joining Hull City. They all think he’s top class, just what they need – but loads of people hate him for being ex Leeds.
