been told the club already been sold, it's a group from dubai here's hoping

we need 100 million to spend in january if we are going to stay up

Who has told you that? good source?

Are you saying its dubai based group or you hope its a dubai based group

just quoting from what my dad has said, he says that it's all complete and will probably take a few weeks to finalize and that they are from dubai

South African group interested but want to stay anonymous for now, under the name "New Newcastle United" according to David Craig.

On another note, David Craig sounded clinically depressed during that report.

It's just Ashley taking the piss.

Just in, a Greenland group is interested going under the name "New New Newcastle United". Oh, scratch that. Just now some penguins from the South Pole have declared their interest by wagging a bit, they go by the name "New New New Newcastle United".

Currently 3 bidders according to the end of this report about Kinear in The Telegraph

The club is now the subject of bidding war between three overseas investors. A Nigerian consortium, a Gulf-based group and a third bidder, whose identity has not been disclosed, are finalising bids upwards of £200 million. The Nigerian bid, which was initially dismissed, is understood to be serious.

MIKE ASHLEY’S reign at Newcastle could be over within five weeks after a South African consortium emerged as favourites for a Tyneside takeover.

The group would pay £350million to oust Ashley.

Amazingly thebillionaire could even benefit from an auction after a Nigerian consortium launched their own bid on Friday.

But the British-based South Africans are confident they are in pole position with their track record of reviving ailing global brands.

A spokesman said: “We are serious about Newcastle, we believe they are an iconic institution who deserve to be run professionally.”

The five-man South African consortium has drawn up legal papers and has contacted brokers Seymour Pierce — the firm Ashley has put in charge of selling the Tyneside club.

Ashley was absent at St James' Park as his side slumped to yet another devastating defeat - 2-1 to Blackburn - their fifth in succession.

And now it could be just weeks before he and the rest of Newcastle's hapless hierarchy is gone for good.
