Ashley17
Football's rife with managers making bizarre decisions. At times in the last few years, the fanbase has been as one for a decision while the manager does something else which inevitably doesn't work. Odd. Makes you wonder what goes on in training like. Bassong might really not apply himself in training, or something like that
Guest Mantis
I am hoping even Ashley's isn't so naive as to think that you can run a club without a manager for more than a couple of weeks. Otherwise he really does not understand this game. Hughton is obviously a good coach and he has said he doesnt want to be manager, but he needs to stand in until an apointment is made. Whats the alternative, get Richard Money to pick the squad? In the mean time, stop messing about and play players in position and FFS do not play N'Zogbia at left back or Cacapa in midfield. It is amatuer and unnecessary.
Guest Ian56
I feel sorry for Houghton. Hoyed in at the deep end and way out of his depth. Kind of like Tintin being put in charge of Thunderbird 1...

Filflop1
Not only Houghton to blame the players looked like they had enough of the sh*t situation we are in at the mo, we are desperate to sell and move on from this awful situation where in. Thespence
It is rather fucked up that we have 2 people who have managed football clubs recently in Money & Wise, yet we end up putting Clueless but loyal Chris in charge.
Mick
It is rather f***ed up that we have 2 people who have managed football clubs recently in Money & Wise, yet we end up putting Clueless but loyal Chris in charge. Sorry but Dennis Wise would be one of the worst possible appointments, even if only for a few games. I don't think this shit we're in has anything to do with Wise becoming manager but enough people would claim that to cause further problems.

Wise would cause the odd ripple, so Money needs to step. Mind you that fucker is putting in the graft atm with being the Academy Director, Acting Reserve Team Manager & assisting Houghton. It is shame the Executive Director (Football) has not got the balls to step up & manage his department from the front, because it is failing badly. Cajun
I think Wise taking over as manager would push the protests from 'support the team, make our feelings known at half time etc' to 'make our feelings known'.

I am a fickle fan I can be won over with Newcastle United winning football games.
Cajun
I think it would be hard to win these games when the fans are instantly on the managers back and some fans seem to absolutely HATE Wise.
McCormick
No brainer really; hughton's a shite manager but the last thing we need to do is exacerbate the fans any further by appointing Wise. It mustn't be thaaat hard to find someone that is 1) a better manager than hughton 2) Less hated than cockface mcghee... Surely?
Guest Heneage
I dont blame Hughton but I can still be annoyed at his tactical decisions, like two DM in CM and two shocking fullbacks.
Colocho
If we have to play Cacapa, why the fuck would you play him in midfield when we have a world-class defensive midfielder at the club.

Colocho
Well, I've seen Colo play in that position for the Argies and he has looked better than Mascherano and Cambiasso.

Gallowgate Toon
Seems, he really wants to try and be stable tbh and not risk playing youngsters and inexperienced players when he can. If you were in his position would you really have the balls to go and pick a really attacking side, when you know that you don't have experienced enough defenders to cover counter attacks. He's not an idiot, he's just doing what many in his position would, play it safe, try and get a point, stabilise for the new manager. P.S He was a defender when he was a player, yes? Might explain his more safety first tactics.
