Chris_R
And number 8 isn't Michael Schumacher, is it? I know he's supposed to be pretty decent at footy and I think the clue in the question is that it's not UK leagues...

James
Just question one then What was Ken Monkou's final club? Clue: wikipedia is wrong.
Chris_R
No idea about Ken Monkou though. I would have said Huddersfield but that's already been ruled out so I'm stuck. I'm guessing it's something obscure like he went on loan somewhere famous as emergency cover on a 1-week contract or something and never got a game. James
He was at the club for about two years.
Chris_R
OK, I've cheated slightly here. Actually I've cheated a lot. Monkou had a trial with Sheff United in 2001.
Chris_R
He was at the club for about two years. Not what I said then!

Guest
Kenneth Monkou was raised and educated in Holland. He became a professional football player at the age of 20 signing for Feyenoord in Holland in 1985. He also played for the Dutch Olympic team of 1987/8. In 1988/9 he signed for Chelsea FC with whom he had a successful relationship both on and off the field, being awarded player of the year in 1990/1. In 1992 he signed for Southampton FC where he remained for seven and a half years, becoming player of the year five times and runner up twice. In 1999 he signed for Huddersfield FC until he left a year and a half later and then returned to Chelsea FC where he played until he retired in 2002/3. Guest Heneage
Right, I've compiled ten questions that should be fairly difficult, even if you try googling most. I'll make a little contest out of it: You get one point for every correct answer, and a bonus point if you were the first to get the answer to one of the questions. You only get three attempts. Contest ends with the first to get all answers (assuming someone manages it). 1. What was Ken Monkou's final club? 2. Michael Jackson, Elton John, Diana Ross and Freddy Shepherd. Who is the odd one out and why? 3. Which footballer received an acknowledgement in a 2005 Mercury Prize nominated album? 4. Ben Tozer went to the same school as which former England international? 5. Gerry Francis signed from obscurity which former England international under the recommendation of the club's tea lady? 6. Who blew the whistle on Bruce Grobbelaar over alleged match-fixing? 7. Which footballer holds the record as the youngest cricketer to hit a century for a county second XI? 8. Which former non-footballing world champion is on the books of a football club in the top four tiers of their national league? 9. Marilyn Monroe, Laurel and Hardy, and Bob Dylan all share something in common with a former Newcastle player. What is it, and who is the player? 10. What is Emile Heskey's middle name? 1)Huddersfield? Now owns pancake house in Holland. 2.) Diana Ross only one never had any involvement with Football Club. 3.) Pass 4.) Nee idea 5.)Anderton? 6.)Pass on rest.

Cronky
Number 2 is Freddie Shepherd. The others are all rock stars. I thought you said it was going to be difficult?
Guest Edd
Grobbelar was exposed by the Sun, was he not? Memory fails me, it was a long time ago. I want the name of the individual, not the publication it featured in (it was the Sun) Hans Segars. Wasn't Hans Segers also one of the accused? I seem to remember a performance against Everton being mentioned as suspect and anyone that saw it wont have been surprised. Wasn't it a game Everton had to win to stay up too? I personally think that's b*llocks by the way because I've found no evidence at all to suggest Monkou returned to Chelsea.
