The College Dropout Posted Monday at 09:16 Share Posted Monday at 09:16 Winning EL won't be transformational for Spurs. The Spurs "project" is not about winning trophies. It's not something they will consistently do. It's not important to Levy and the club embodies it. They only giving Europa a good shot because of CL qualification. Man U managers need to win trophies. Which is why they have won 3 different types, some of them multiple times, since Ferguson left. It's transformational for us because our "project" does require winning trophies. And we've only been trying to win trophies for the last 3 years. WilliamPS Posted Monday at 09:16 Share Posted Monday at 09:16 Hoping these clowns win their next two matches. I am ready for disappointment. Spurs winning the Europa is clearly better for us. Ange is shot and players will actively avoid spurs in the summer even with CL. If they win they might be daft enough to keep Ange for another season too. Man Utd with CL could manage a half decent rebuild, without it and with a manager who has lost the plot, losing the Europa probably leaves them drifting for another year. Amorim is going to walk away at some point. It’s not about financials with them, they’ll still throw money around most clubs can only dream of, it’s about who would say yes to them. Plus @leffe186 isn’t anywhere near the despicable wind up merchant as@Froggy is! Last season they made £37m in merit payments from U.K. and International. This season 16th would net them £14m and 17th £11.3m. By contrast we got £39.4m and could go up to either £53.5m for 2nd. No CL would see them drop the c.€50m they’ve earned in the EL for reaching the final with no European revenue coming in. That’s another chunky drop off. Then reduced payments from adidas - £10m a season deductible for not being in the CL. Brexit Jim will have to find a lot of dinner ladies and stewards to sack to make up that shortfall. Don't forget the 25% wage deduction for the players for no CL qualification, which is currently around £40m.

Sorry mate, but there is absolutely zero chance we take points off Chelsea. The final is five days after the game. Personally think you've already got CL qualification wrapped up though. So that just about offsets the adidas and merit money parts. Just the £45m loss of Europe money to save now. Presuming that’s Mainoo or Garnacho sold to cover the balance. SteV Posted Monday at 11:00 Share Posted Monday at 11:00 Haven’t seen anything of their game against Palace, but just looking at the raw stats, they got absolutely annihilated. Appreciate the significant external factors at play, and the fact that the lineup in the final will bear little resemblance to the one put out yesterday, but feels to me like Man Utd would have to be really, really poor to get turned over by them at this moment in time. Highly unlikely Dalot will be fit. Definitely out for Chelsea. He'll maybe make the bench next week. Either way we both have serious problems. Nobody is blessed.
