Go for it mate, we might strike lucky with the 3G.

Astroturf was booked last time and yous ended up on the 3G didn't yous? Just need someone to nibble the wires for the floodlights again.

O-nut, and Stephen 927, looking forward to the Battle tmrw.

Me and the Nut are fighting over who gets you, I fancy a challenge so I might let Nut take care of you. ;)

Ash and Rich appear to have this sewn up so i will play a non running role up front, might switch with one of them late on, when we are out of sight , and they want to get a goal.

Its a bit cheaper than astroturf, Gambling Gorilla said its £80 for the astroturf, bout £3.50 each I work it out as if theres 22 people minimum.

Probably too late, but the thread title needs changing.

For those who don't know, it's a 5pm kick off and it's been changed to astroturf instead of the 3G, although arrangements on the day might change the outcome of what pitch we use, but the astroturf one is booked.

This may cause people wearing moulded studs and the likes, but I can't really see much of a problem to be honest.

Fingers crossed the weather stays dry enough, as astroturf is unforgiving when wet.

See you all there, no doubt i'll post in this thread before KO anyway.

Fuck me the toon let us down then the fookin University balls it up ,think we should kick up a fuss considering they have let us down and if we booked well in advance surely we have the right to a pitch of our choice.

I'd just use common sense we'll be done by seven it will still be light so let us use the grass.

I've not got boots and it'll be slippy as f*ck in this. Don't think there's showers either so it'll be muddy as well which won't be fun sitting in when we're in a pub afterwards too!

Hmm that's a bugger. Oh well maybe a compromise will be made.

There are plenty of showers tbh, disappointing that we're potentially facing a lack of 3G but surely we can just play at 4 for a couple of hours seeing as how we've had this booked since February/March time..?

Regardless, I need an update sharpish in the morning so I can advise the ref what we're doing, 3G/turf/astro etc, someone needs to have a severe word with the Northumbria admin...

Nice and sunny. :)

I live about 10 minutes drive away from the pitch and it's nice and bright outside, hope it doesn't turn out yesterday though where there was sun one minute then rain the next. Fingers crossed.

If I hear Nixon mention grass pitches once more...
